I didn't notice any "official" apology from Israel to the families of those killed by their mistake in your post of the chronology of events.

People go on and on around here about responsibility for actions - has Israel ever stood up and taken their responsiblity in this situation? Are they not admittedly culpable?

Israel did officially apologize and paid millions to the victims and their families.

I was addressing the statement that the government never investigated, which it did. I left out the Israeli governments investigations too.

Israel acknowledged their mistake, took responsibility, apologized and paid around $13 million to the State Dept, who distributed it in early 1968.
