Game, set match... Maybe this lie helps Arafat today. Tomorrow there will be another homicide bomber, exposing the lie. Even if he gets his meeting with Powell, I have an Idea it would be his last lie to the Americans as a potential negotiator.

The game's not over.

There's no other explanation for killing a monk. Sure there is, you take a hostage, pop a few rounds in him and call CNN yelling JOOO! Instant PR points for the kidnappers, er, terr, er, mur, er, uh, Palestinian civilians who happen to be carrying machine guns to church.
The only claim that this was a monk, that the IDF shot him, that it was an IDF sniper and that the IDF claimed that was true came from your mouth, not the mouth of the news media. You realy got to cut back on that LSD little armchair terrorist. You gotta have enough brain left to press the button and get your chance to that big whorehouse in the sky.

One curiosity. Why does an Arab city have a Hebrew name? For the same reason the "west bank" of the jordan (hell of a big river ya think?) is actually named the HEBRON hills and the JUDEAN hills. Because it is a Jewish area stolen by the Islamic Horde, (do I get a prize?)

Hundreds surrender in Jenin when Israel warns it will fight like Americans
Aaron Lerner Date: 10 April 2002
"Israel Radio reported that hundreds of people have surrendered in the Jenin refugee camp after Israel warned via loudspeakers that it would [following the American model] demolish buildings with aerial bombing using F-16's].
The hundreds who surrendered included both many of the armed terrorists who had earlier vowed to fight to their deaths as well as the Palestinian "noncombatants" who, until now, refused Israeli calls to leave the area for their own security.
It is believed that some terrorists have not surrendered and it is expected that instead of risking additional IDF soldiers that, following the American model, the buildings the remaining terrorists who refuse to surrender are hiding in will be demolished.

Smoke billows behind the Lutheran Church in the
Old City of Bethlehem, some 300 meters from the
Church of Nativity April 13, 2002. Shooting erupted
near the church, where Palestinians, some of them
armed, have been surrounded by Israeli troops for
12 days, witnesses said.
Mazen Hussein, a Palestinian policeman inside the
church, said a 60-year-old civilian inside had been
hit by two gunshots in the chest.(Magnus Johansson/Reuters)

Debris flies and a cloud of smoke is seen over the West Bank town of
Bethlehem Saturday April 13, 2002, as Israeli forces appeared to blow
up car wrecks in the streets clearing the way for armour to reach
Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity from different side.
Israeli forces continued to ring one of Christianity's most sacred sites,
the Church of the Nativity, built over the traditional birthplace of
Jesus, where some 200 Palestinian gunmen were holed up.(AP Photo/Peter Dejong)

The only claim that this was a monk, that the IDF shot him, that it was an IDF sniper and that the IDF claimed that was true came from your mouth, not the mouth of the news media . . . uh, It really IS time for you to come home, friend. You are showing signs of battle fatigue(best possible explanation) . . . Other possible explanations include the "possibility" that you are NOT and American in Israel, but just another Israeli seminar disinformation shill. Which is it?
A senior Israel Defense Forces source said yesterday that the army's initial inquiry into the incident had indicated that the monk had been mistakenly shot by a sniper from an elite unit in the area. Apparently, the source continued, the sniper had spotted an armed Palestinian and had opened fire on him.

Your assertion was that American military would have leveled Bethlehem. . . .offensive and disgusting to the MAX!
You justify your goofy, disgusting assertion by IDF threats in Jenin. Great support of your thesis!(not)

Well as I missed that article, it shows that I am not a Israeli propaganda officer. Guess I must really be an American in Israel huh? So now the poor 60 year old man shot twice in the chest was carrying a assualt rifle. Hmmm, think that might be why he was shot? I guess the IDF should have given him a senior citizens discount and only shot him once. Must have forgotten to interview the guy and get his particulars first. Bad joo, bad joo, shooting an armed terrorist as he steps out of the church in a hostage situation. Everybody knows that 60 year old mens rifles do not kill anybody.

The real Iraq factor in Powells visit is that Sodamned Insane is calling the shots in this latest terror wave to divert America from canceling his ticket. Dresden was famous for its churches... War sucks, and the IDF will not blow up the church, they respect others religious sites. The tower of David has to this day an old minneret on top of it that was built by the Islamics. It no longer is in use, and is an eyesore of cheap concrete, but the Jews respect it and leave it there.

Oops, wrong cut and paste, must be battle fatigue... -grin-
Your assertion was that American military would have leveled Bethlehem. . . .offensive and disgusting to the MAX!

Or vice versa. Isn't the IDF "protecting holy sites" by having a sniper kill a monk? You disgrace the name you borrowed.
Muslim humor?

"Yesterday it appeared that Israel could claim the upper hand with the palestinian terrorist bombing in Jerusalem. Today, with Arafat calling our bluff and the US blinking, all the pallis have to do now to get more international sympathy is to make it look like the Israelis started this new fighting. Thank you GW Bush." "U.S. Policy in the ME is horrible. Powell meeting with a terrorist is so stupid. Bushbots making excusses for Bush's hypocritical actions is a disgrace."
Does the concept of subtle political maneuvering mean ANYTHING to you people? Ever stop to think that maybe, just MAYBE, this is all an intentional Bush rope-a-dope plan?

As there are hostages, I would fill the place with tear gas and anyone coming out with a weapon gets dropped.
