I got an e-machines machine with XP on it.

When you cut and paste it runs all the text together, loses the paragraph formatting, and is generally a pain.

It also didn't come with much of a manual. It's not very intuitive. I'd like to get rid of it, frankly.

"I got an e-machines

there's your problem! but seriously, i worked for tech support for XEROX small printers and every customer calling in to complain said that HP printers were god's gift to mankind. anyhoo, if you don't have updated actual XP drivers and they are not digitally signed, you WILL have problems. if you have all the lastest whiz bang drivers, you shouldn't have a problem. you can probably cheat and use win2K drivers, but you'll get a lot of error messages and threatening pop ups!

My first computer was a E Machine, I had to return it to the store after about 2 weeks. My next one was a Compaq Presario and I just got a Dell a few days with Windows XP. I love it
