Then there is no obvious reason why your hard drive should be split into two logical drives. Did you upgrade from an earlier version of Windows? If so, the partitioning would remain even though it is no longer needed. That would also explain the situation.

I should add, Windows ME is the worst OS software I've used to date. Even Windows 98 SE would be a better choice. I highly recommend Windows 2000. It is the best OS I've used to date including XP. If you have scanners, digital cameras and other toys then XP is probably the better choice due to integrated support.
