Sam,

Just finished reading that post on the "Donut Dollies". The thought that kept pounding my brain was . . .

Isn't that exactly what we are on this thread for?

Damn man, you got me thinking too early in the day!

The poem was written by another Donut Dollie and it really gives a beautiful description of what we did:

A touch of home
in a combat zone
A smiling face
at a bleak firebase
The illusion of calm
in VIETNAM

I hope all the Donut Dollies and others who came to Vietnam to support the troops know how much those visits and "smiling faces" really meant to us.

Sam,to see people like you over in Vietnam, to know that when leaving there was a smile on a face even for a short moment in time, to hug a serviceman and say thank you, so many things.....Donut Dollies I am sure , I just really feel they knew what it meant.

Thank you again Sam for more then I can say.

Thank you again too Mr_Magoo and Sam and Aquamarine.......for all you have done for the USO Dance tomorrow !!!!!

((((((((( hug )))))))
