I had originally posted this article in the "Religion" forum, but realized (after a quick search) that no one had actually posted the ENTIRE TEXT of the speech. It was good to hear our president coming down so strong and unequivocably on the side of human life!

This is only my second posting here at Free Republic. It is good to be aboard! I have been lurking here for about 4 years....since Free Republic was a link in the Drudge Report (back when the President Clinton scandal - NOT the "Monica Lewinski" scandal! - he was twice her age and should have known better). Oh those days....

One more quick note on this new and improved format: I like. Choice is a good thing when it comes to Free Republic. There are such diverse and far-reaching posters here (from A+Bert to Alamo Girl) that I believe it to be a good thing to have enough preferences for everyone ("different strokes for different folks").

Lastly, a HUGE thanks to Jim & John Robinson for their relentless efforts to make Free Republic the BEST conservative posting site out there - bar NONE!!

Again, it is good to be aboard!

I've been wrestling with this issue for a few days. I am against human cloning but for the life of me I don't see anywhere in the Constitution that gives the federal gov't the power to legislate on it.

Any Constitutional experts out there want to explain to me how this law could pass Constitutional muster.
