Kentucky & Tennessee !!!!! Been there; done that ! Don't even consider those 2 states. You may not realize it, but you are technically right in the case of Kentucky, as it is a Commonwealth, not a state.

THE TEXAS TRAVEL GUIDE KICKS A-S! I was there in October and used that as my main guide. Who would of thought tht there were so many Czech, Polish and German colonies around San Antonio and Austin?
That being said, Houston is gross. Liked most of the rest of the state though.

Get in your car and don't stop driving until you get to Vero Beach, Fl. In 15 years, Vero will be just like Boca Raton: full of Wexlercrats.

Texas has NO State Income Tax! Depending on where you live Property Taxes vary from High to low.

Another thing. If you're fleeing California don't look back! You might turn into a pillar of salt.

Ha! My mistake.

If you don't like high property taxes (or bratwurst or cheese or the Green Bay Packers) don't come near Wisconsin.

I've heard the hill country of Texas is beautiful. Could you tell me a little about it?
To: Joe Hadenuf
Not that I would move, just curious. Given your posting history and rabid defense of CAcesspool, I predict you'll be the last Californian.
I abandoned it 8 years ago, thank God.

LOL! Calm down. Don't be so angry. You're in Gods country remember?
To: TexasNative2000
No problem Tex. It just got me thinking when I read your post.

The hill country is beautiful and it doesn't rain all the time like it does here. Do an internet search (hill country texas) and you will find a lot of information. There is a lot of open areas with no one around. If I have to sell this place I may move there or Arizona. East Texas is pretty nice too. Especially if you are raising kids. The food is good there. However the air is terrible because of all the refineries and chemical plants. It also rains a lot there. If you go west of hill country the land is very dry and flat. holly@gru.net
