This needs to be repeated: California...got thousands of unassimilated others, who eventually flooded into the states near-bankrupt entitlement industry and filled its newly built prisons...nearly one-quarter of its inmates are aliens from Mexico (while nearly a third of all drug-trafficking arrests involve illegal aliens). The industrious new arrivals...eroded the wages of its own domestic low-wage constituenciesthe Labor Department attributes 50 percent of real wage declines to the influx of cheap immigrant labor.
I'm still waiting for the open borders advocates to dispute the above facts.
They don't - they just sing, "We arrrre the Worrrlld...We arrrre the peeeeeopllle".
Don't hold your breath. They just leave out the non-P.C. facts and concentrate fire on the compassionate issues.
I really enjoyed this article. Makes me think of the struggles of the Irish, Chinese, and other "other Hemispherians" borne out (willingly I might add) in order to become Americans by right of production and purpose. If these immigrants really wanted a chance at becoming accepted/legitimized in our country they wouldn't be so damn adamant about holding allegiance to their former nationality. All the problems they are having in our country stem from their unwillingness to adapt to our form of society and integrate/compromise their cultural values to that end.
Are there any clear headed mex/Americans that are preaching along these lines that could use our support?
