Until the Church gets its own act together, it should refrain from lecturing people on moral issues.

The Church has it's act together. Certain heretics within it wearing Roman collars and masquerading as priests do not. Their actions do not mitigate the doctrines and disciplines of the Catholic Church. 8.3% of the Apostles betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of silver. 91.7% did not.
