LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A handful of die-hard "Star Wars" fans already have started lining up to see the next movie in the sci-fi saga -- more than a month before it opens.
"We're just really persistent people," said Luis Lecca, a martial arts instructor who has spent eight hours a day waiting and braving hecklers. "We see something we want to do and we do it."

Oh, don't even go there!! I'm all for LOTR and I'm just short of posting on 'the' thread, but if y'all don't stop, I'm calling Constitution Day over here and you know what'll happen then

Two Towers? I can't wait either. Star Wars is fine (well, except for episodes VI and I, but I'm keeping an open mind about II), but Tolkien is magic.

Ok LOTR was good but no way is it gonna equal Ep2. Titanic in space I very highly doubt that. They just needed a basis to put Luke and Leia in the future installments. This is gonna have the " Biggest " Star Wars space battle ever. The footage from the Clone War scenes alone look like they are gonna kick butt. I already have tickets to see it here at a local theatre so I will be very happy when its comes out.

"I have no place else to go," said Elms, 39. "It's just fun sitting on Hollywood Boulevard watching the freaks and the tourists walk by."Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Did you guys see this in the "Parody Posters" section of the WaitingforStarWars site (posted above)
To: Cincinatus
Thats bogus anyway thats a fake version released to get the wrong hype about the movie. Lucas alrready confimed that @ SW.com.

Cute...but I don't wait in no stinking lines. :)

I saw "Star Wars" about 50 times in the theater. I saw it twice in one sitting on three occasions.
I thought "Phantom Menace" grotesquely bad. I could barely get through it. My younger co-workers had raved about it.
"Who was the main character?", I asked.
Dead silence.
I love the SW franchise, but I hope this one has a plot.

When all is said and done, I am glad to see these people engaging in good clean HARMLESS fun (and supporting a charity) - whether you or I think it is fun is irrelevant. Enjoy folks!

Wow is right...that preview is such a rush!
Have fun at your next viewing, I'm planning on 2 more viewings at least before it's gone from the theaters...
If we do this right, we can turn this thread entirely from discussing pathetic Star Wars fans to the brilliance of the LOTR project...

Ok LOTR was good but no way is it gonna equal Ep2. To me, comparing the two is like comparing The Exorcist to The Mummy Returns. LOTR is a very deep and serious story, while SW is fun, but very shallow. Not quite the same.

Shall I add Hobbit to the Topic list now or later?
