Good Lord!! Some excellent points brought up and all this turns into is what is G-d and God. This nation of states has unfortunately long turned away from God. True there are still pockets of believers and they do have some effect on the direction but not much. It's like running at 100 with the brake fluid leaking. You might stop but it's not likely. It seems people are using God as some sort of slot machine. God will and does bless people, but we must live by His rules, not ours.

Point of question though. What's this America thing that keeps getting mentioned though? I don't live in a prepositional phrase and if you say America you're talking about the whole continent. I live in the United StateS (which happens to be on the American continent) of America. Specifically I am a citizen of North Carolina. I know picky but words still do mean something < /rant>

True enough. Some people think of "Americans" and "God's people" as being synonymous. Nothing could be further from the truth. America, as a nation, does not live by His rules.
