Legally, Lazaro's case was weak, very weak, from the outset. He was rebuffed in every court except for the 11th Circuit granting a full hearing after the panel had ruled against him. The full court then ruled against him. As I said, weak.

I say his case was as strong as the other side's but that the national will was weak. The Judges respected the national will in such a close case.
