JUAN MIGUEL GONZALEZ REQUESTED ASYLUM THREE TIMES AND WAS DENIED BY RENO!!!!
Local news | April 10, 2002 | Luis Gonzalez

Posted on 04/09/2002 9:20:18 PM PDT by Luis Gonzalez

Miami local news have been reporting on the case of INS whistleblower Rick Ramirez.

Mr. Ramirez had a hearing Tuesday. April 9, where he denounced the actions of the Miami INS office, who under direct orders from then INS Commisioner Doris Meissner, destroyed and/or deleted all documents pertaining to the Elian Gonzalez case from their computers.

In a bomb shell announcement, Mr. Ramirez and his attorneys (Judicial Watch) have announced that at a press conference to be held Wednesday, April 10th. at 8:00 AM, they will produce proof that Juan MIguel Gonzalez was fully aware of Elisabet's trip to the US, that Juan Miguel wanted to leave Cuba as well, that the US government was fully aware that Juan Miguel Gonzalez was co-erced by Cuban agents, THAT HE ASKED FOR ASYLUM AT LEAST THREE TIMES WHILE HE WAS HERE, AND THAT EACH REQUEST WAS DENIED BY EX-AG, JANET RENO.

No, what we HAVE found is some guy who comes into a thread about one subject, and has some insane need to discuss something other than the subject at hand.

You can believe whatever you want to believe: that Bush is King, that we never made it to the moon, or that the easter Bunny really does exist.

I can believe whatever I want to believe: that Bush is a good and honest man, that he does what's best for the country, and that you are an idiot.

Having said all that, yes I support the president, and I understand why he does the majority of things that he does. You just haven't hit on those things I don't agree with him on. And even then, even if I disagree with 25% of what he does, I am realistic enough to understand the politics involved, and the give and take needed to govern a population as diverse as ours. So he still retains my support.

If you wish to continue this "conversation" tell me who will get your support the coming elections. Either that, or run along and go play with the rest of the one percenters.

"That blame goes to Clinton, not the INS."

Agreed.

A commie President is not going to grant asylum to anyone running from communism.

Jim Goldman will find a home in He!! for planning this abduction which deprived a beautiful child of his liberty. This is the first time I have ever read Goldman's name, and I thought I was "up" on all of these dirty dealings.

"...unlike you, i can still think for myself..."

Which is why you flagged me to a thread discussing what Rush has to say about Bush?

Looks to me like you let a radio announcer do your thinking for you!

THE APPEARANCE OF IMPROPRIETY/The Elian Affair And The Demise Of Decency**** "They [the government] had a very easy remedy here. They could have gone to a court [and] got a court order, held the family in contempt. If the family refused to leave, then they could have gotten a warrant and arrested family members who were in contempt of court. ...They couldn't have because the family was not breaking the law."

Say what? But surely the Miami family had an obligation to hand over the boy -- the president, through his minions in the INS, had ordered them to do so. (His ev-ery wish is our command). We Amerikans have been so dumbed-down regarding our most basic rights it has fallen to this million-dollar-mouthpiece from the left side of the political spectrum to instruct us:

"Only a Court Order Can Direct a Citizen. Nobody has an obligation in this country to listen to the executive. The executive, whether it's the president or the INS, has no authority over citizens of this country."

Well I say. That isn't the impression I got from watching Tom and Pete and Gunga Dan, and especially from watching Ricky Kaplan's talking-head hand-puppets at CNN. (Tricky-Ricky, the president of CNN News, sleeps in the Lincoln bedroom during his frequent overnight visits to the White House). What's the point of being commander-in-chief if one cannot command us lowly churls to do one's bidding? Dershowitz elaborates:

"You need a court order to tell a citizen of this country to respond to the INS. And it establishes a terrible precedent for Janet Reno or any other member of the administration to set deadlines, to give orders. Citizens do not have an obligation to obey the executive. They have an obligation to obey court orders."

Why that's in direct contravention of the Divine Right of Kings. What is the world coming to when the president can't even order us around like abject slaves? Er -- if that's what it takes, why didn't the prez (or rather Reno, behind whose skirts he has been hiding) get a court order? Dershowitz explains:

"...the 11th Circuit wanted to decide, and that's exactly why the 11th Circuit ordered him to stay in the United States, and that's exactly why they didn't seek a court order, because they knew they wouldn't get one."

That is a pretty damning declaration coming from one of the president's most ardent defenders during last year's impeachment proceedings. He tells us in effect that the president is acting outside the law, indeed he shows absolute contempt for the law. And nobody lifts a finger to do anything about it.

The order of the 11th Circuit Court referred to above was intended to "retain the status quo" pending the appeal of Elian's case in the courts, says Derschowitz, and the purpose of the raid was to "moot the appeal," substituting lawyers representing Elian's father (i.e. Clinton/Castro) for those representing the Miami family. "And they took the law into their own hands," says Dershowitz, "and that's what's wrong here."***

Hey a$$hole, Donato is coming to my home, to do my show, because I asked him to do it. Normally, he just has dinner here, or hangs out.

Here's a clue, the media LOOKED for him, he didn't go looking for them, and furthermore, he NEVER claimed to be a fisherman.

Take your crap elsewhere.

OK, I thought we'd seen all this before:

The INS had turned over to Judicial Watch the Sanchez-Roig teleconference e-mail two years ago - but without her note citing Meissner's order to destroy it.

I'm not surprised that they didn't get the actual Sanchez-Roig copy 2 years ago (the one with the handwriting, that is), since she was the one who presumably had it stashed outside the office. This copy came from a source other than the INS, didn't it, like Sanchez-Roig herself? Remains to be seen, I suppose, just how much of a smoking gun a hand-written note saying that someone's boss told them to destroy something. Tough to pin that on Meissner....

In any case, this memo of 2 years ago, of which we have been aware for approx that long, doesn't:

"produce proof that Juan MIguel Gonzalez was fully aware of Elisabet's trip to the US, that Juan Miguel wanted to leave Cuba as well, that the US government was fully aware that Juan Miguel Gonzalez was co-erced by Cuban agents,[much less] THAT HE ASKED FOR ASYLUM AT LEAST THREE TIMES WHILE HE WAS HERE, AND THAT EACH REQUEST WAS DENIED BY EX-AG, JANET RENO".

The Clintons depended on useful idiots to attack their enemies.

I'm sure Janet Reno would be pleased with your post.

Ditto on your feelings ... reading this post early am put me in to a tailspin. I can think of no sadder day than that day when goons in federal dress and non-publically available machine guns broke into a home under a false warrant took a child in arms at machine gun point from a family that was at that hour still in good faith negotiations with Reno. Sad not because of that, but because of the lack of overwheleming general outrage over that act.

A once free nation, either enslaved or over-prozaced. Can't tell which the worse.

University of Miami President Edward T. Foote II, who helped bring the last minute negotiations together, also believed force could have been avoided. ''We were so close to an agreement.''--Last-minute differences for deal were significant

Well said!

Thanks.

What got me during the whole thing was the number of people who supported sending the kid back. They said he should be with his father. I asked them if the father was in jail, would they send the kid to prison just to be with his dad. None of them had thought of it that way.

Sam Ciancio became a whore and apologist for the Cuban press.

And "fisherman" was the label the media used for Donato, it was not Donato's description of himself. But then you would know that if you were intellectually honest.

BTW, are you Sam Ciancio?

I found that thread (see post #235) after I had replied to you on this thread. Meissner is screwed, and JW does have the smoking gun this time.
