Family Group Threatens to Sue Homosexual Activists Over Day of Silence

(CNSNews.com) - A pro-family group is threatening to sue a homosexual advocacy group that is calling on students to observe a "Day of Silence" to promote homosexuality in America's schools Wednesday.

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is asking students to recognize and protest the plight of homosexual students by taking a vow of silence, even compiling a list of teachers, students and administrators who might oppose their efforts.

"This is an assault on our school system by terrorists," said Rabbi David Eidensohn, director of the National Non-Sectarian Council of Pro-Family Activists.

"The financial damage due to lost school time throughout the country will be enormous. We cannot, however, talk about money alone. The disruption of a school atmosphere, especially towards the end of the year, when discipline in schools is a challenge, could kill a year of learning for many students," Rabbi Eidensohn said.

"Precisely when students should be concentrating on finals, they are told by GLSEN homosexual activists to refuse to speak in class and to disrupt school with activism. Students who should be learning to get along with others are making a 'hit list' of teachers and students who are biblical or who refuse the homosexual agenda," he said.

Rabbi Eidensohn called on religious groups to immediately file for court orders of protection for children of "biblical inclinations" to protect them from "hate groups" who sponsor the Day of Silence.

"We must sue them immediately. We must demand compensation for every nickel of taxpayer money that was lost because of their campaign of agitation against the lawful school system," he concluded. "We must claim damages in lowered earning skills for all students who could not learn because of the homosexual activists and their disturbances."

"Or you can attribute to freedom. Perspective is important"

War is peace. Slavery is freedom. We are at war with Eastasia. We have always been at war with Eastasia. Eurasia is our ally.

Yes, free. Free to practice demonstrations based on the Marxist Dialectic in our schools, to dedicate special days for it, no less. Good point.

"Well you can attribute this to communism, but i think the government would have to approve the demonstration and probably direct it. "

Boy how did I let that one slip by, gues I'm ready for bed...

The "day of silence" in honor of oppressed gays everywhere could not be condoned more openly and enthusiastically as it would in a government run school. Essentially, it is being approved and directed by "the government." Few private enterprises could take such a bold position on something so traditionally immoral.

IF it were done in a communist country it is approved by the government because they are totalitarian. In the US it is freedom that allows this. The government does not direct it and approve it. The point is the government does not have the power to stop it. It's called freedom to peacefully assemble and freedom of speech. As I said earlier, if it disrupts the class let the school deal with it.

It is your attempt that has twisted the meaning of what is going on. Don't kick the mud over here.

Public schools are government institutions. These institutions prevent individuals from engaging openly in the practice of their own religions via simple prayer. These same institutions prevent children from pointing their fingers in pretend gunplay. These institutions hold routine lockdowns while drug sniffing dogs search the private property of the students. These government institutions expel honor students for zero tolerance infractions such as carrying aspirin or nail clippers.

Now tell me again about the "freedom of expression" demonstrated in a public school via a "day of silence" for oppressed homosexuals.

I have no interest in explaining the bill of rights to you or the role of the public schools in our secular society. I will leave you with your challenge to stop the totalitarian, communist, homosexuals from forcing these kids to be quiet. You need time to get your plan into effect.

"Funny Ed. I contacted several of the High Schools that were listed by GLSEN as participants on your post #86 link and guess what? Not only were they NOT participating, but they didn't even know about the event. Surprised? Not me. The propaganda coming from the liars is amazing."

Yes, some administrators and teachers will lie to parents about the promotion of the LGBTP agenda in the public schools, as documented below:

"After listening to the radio program, I came to the conclusion that parents and some teachers were unaware of this event.

However, a parent called in to the show and stated that she called the district yesterday and inquired about it. They lied to her and said that Deer Valley would not be participating. She then went on to say that she called back and told them that she heard the Bob Mohan show where this was being discussed. The school staff finally admitted that this would be occurring on April 10th.

Seems to me that educrats (many, not all) thought they could pull the wool over our eyes. NOT!!"

That's just dissembling, hyperbolic and lame dissembling at that. To describe a protest or demonstration technique as having its origins in known socialist propaganda methods is not alarmist or paranoid, as you seem to be desperately trying to imply.

"Apparently, this event went very well, with thousands of individual students and educators exercising their constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression. Good for them.

Given that an organized, constitutionally guaranteed counter-protest by religious conscienscious objectors to sodomy would result in lawsuits and incarceration of said counter-protestors, I would imagine you have good reason to be smug.

"Through clever sophistry devised by national "gay" strategists, opponents of homosexuality are as cast as haters and "homophobes" whose opinions are dangerous to "gay" kids and must thus be changed or silenced. GSA students are trained by GLSEN to intimidate opponents through the use of a few carefully constructed rhetorical tricks: arguments which appear logically sound but which rely on hidden false assumptions and deliberately ambiguous terms."

The Facts About "Just the Facts"

"In an ambitious attempt to pressure public schools into promoting homosexuality, a homosexual advocacy group has sent an authoritative-looking pamphlet replete with distortions and thinly veiled legal threats to every school district in the country.

"Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation & Youth" was produced by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Educational Network (GLSEN), which aggressively promotes instruction about the homosexual lifestyle in elementary schools. A speaker at a 1998 GLSEN-sponsored conference in Boston, for example, advocated indoctrinating children as young as kindergarten age to accept homosexuality.1

If schools are cowed into implementing the recommendations of "Just the Facts," children will be encouraged to enter a lifestyle associated with disease and early death, one which has been condemned by every major religion and virtually all cultures from time immemorial. An evaluation of the assertions found in "Just the Facts" reveals that the booklet is more opinion than fact..."

"Other students and even most adults are not equipped to avoid these rhetorical traps."

Here are the links to two excellent web sites that provide information to teens who are faced with homosexual indoctrination:

Choice 4 Truth (http://www.choice4truth.com/)

They have two sections - one for parents and one for students/teens. Here's the link for student section:

http://www.choice4truth.com/index-teens.html

There is some really good material under the "Take the Student Pledge" section that kids can use to respond with when they are faced with queer propaganda.

Truthatschool.org (http://www.truthatschool.org/)

This site also has sections for parents and students, but is primarily a web site for students (with lots of good information).

"It is probable that one or more adult homosexual activists, possibly teachers, are responsible for the GSA club coming to the local school. This may be a violation of the Equal Access Act, which forbids non-student control of clubs granted under its auspices. These teachers should be identified and their activism exposed to public scrutiny."

From reply #82 above:

"... an official organizational sponsor, GLSEN. To ensure its success, GLSEN developed a first-ever Day of Silence Project Advisory Board..."

GLSEN is not a student-run organization.

From Tolerance to Affirmation: One School's Experience with a Gay-Affirmative Program

"Note the following pattern:

1. The existence of a dedicated activist on school grounds. The leader of the group was gay, and extremely dedicated to bringing the gay agenda to the school.

2. The group charter was created to be as non-threatening as and general possible. No students would be involved. Teachers were simply to be informed about it, and not coerced into joining..."
