War is peace. Slavery is freedom. We are at war with Eastasia. We have always been at war with Eastasia. Eurasia is our ally.
Yes, free. Free to practice demonstrations based on the Marxist Dialectic in our schools, to dedicate special days for it, no less. Good point.
Boy how did I let that one slip by, gues I'm ready for bed...
The "day of silence" in honor of oppressed gays everywhere could not be condoned more openly and enthusiastically as it would in a government run school. Essentially, it is being approved and directed by "the government." Few private enterprises could take such a bold position on something so traditionally immoral.
It is your attempt that has twisted the meaning of what is going on. Don't kick the mud over here.
Public schools are government institutions. These institutions prevent individuals from engaging openly in the practice of their own religions via simple prayer. These same institutions prevent children from pointing their fingers in pretend gunplay. These institutions hold routine lockdowns while drug sniffing dogs search the private property of the students. These government institutions expel honor students for zero tolerance infractions such as carrying aspirin or nail clippers.
Now tell me again about the "freedom of expression" demonstrated in a public school via a "day of silence" for oppressed homosexuals.
Yes, some administrators and teachers will lie to parents about the promotion of the LGBTP agenda in the public schools, as documented below:

"After listening to the radio program, I came to the conclusion that parents and some teachers were unaware of this event.
However, a parent called in to the show and stated that she called the district yesterday and inquired about it. They lied to her and said that Deer Valley would not be participating. She then went on to say that she called back and told them that she heard the Bob Mohan show where this was being discussed. The school staff finally admitted that this would be occurring on April 10th.
Seems to me that educrats (many, not all) thought they could pull the wool over our eyes. NOT!!"
See replies 50, 55, 57, 60 and 69 in the thread Assemblyman MOUNTJOY opposes promotion of homosexuality in public schools.
And Parental Notification Laws regarding Gay & Lesbian Programs for Youths?
That's just dissembling, hyperbolic and lame dissembling at that. To describe a protest or demonstration technique as having its origins in known socialist propaganda methods is not alarmist or paranoid, as you seem to be desperately trying to imply.
Given that an organized, constitutionally guaranteed counter-protest by religious conscienscious objectors to sodomy would result in lawsuits and incarceration of said counter-protestors, I would imagine you have good reason to be smug.
The Facts About "Just the Facts"
"In an ambitious attempt to pressure public schools into promoting homosexuality, a homosexual advocacy group has sent an authoritative-looking pamphlet replete with distortions and thinly veiled legal threats to every school district in the country.
"Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation & Youth" was produced by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Educational Network (GLSEN), which aggressively promotes instruction about the homosexual lifestyle in elementary schools. A speaker at a 1998 GLSEN-sponsored conference in Boston, for example, advocated indoctrinating children as young as kindergarten age to accept homosexuality.1
If schools are cowed into implementing the recommendations of "Just the Facts," children will be encouraged to enter a lifestyle associated with disease and early death, one which has been condemned by every major religion and virtually all cultures from time immemorial. An evaluation of the assertions found in "Just the Facts" reveals that the booklet is more opinion than fact..."
"Other students and even most adults are not equipped to avoid these rhetorical traps."
Here are the links to two excellent web sites that provide information to teens who are faced with homosexual indoctrination:
Choice 4 Truth (http://www.choice4truth.com/)
They have two sections - one for parents and one for students/teens. Here's the link for student section:
http://www.choice4truth.com/index-teens.html
There is some really good material under the "Take the Student Pledge" section that kids can use to respond with when they are faced with queer propaganda.
Truthatschool.org (http://www.truthatschool.org/)
This site also has sections for parents and students, but is primarily a web site for students (with lots of good information).
From reply #82 above:
"... an official organizational sponsor, GLSEN. To ensure its success, GLSEN developed a first-ever Day of Silence Project Advisory Board..."
GLSEN is not a student-run organization.
From Tolerance to Affirmation: One School's Experience with a Gay-Affirmative Program
"Note the following pattern:
1. The existence of a dedicated activist on school grounds. The leader of the group was gay, and extremely dedicated to bringing the gay agenda to the school.
2. The group charter was created to be as non-threatening as and general possible. No students would be involved. Teachers were simply to be informed about it, and not coerced into joining..."
