I’m with vacrn, all this squabbling has gotten ridiculous so that I’ve stayed away, but I do want to respond to this comment of Kim’s:

BUT..if you are so inclined to continue to do so that is your choice. If I were you, in your outrage, I would contact Pierce (you can do it, you're all in the same state) and start a massive drive to get people to sue the van dam's for negligence in the civil court, prove your case and get the other kids removed from their home, instead of sitting on here, yelling at Me and Val. In fact, if you all win, you can make good ol damon pay for it. Yep, that's what I would do if my passion was a strong as yours.

As usual with the qualifier that California law can be quite different, I strongly, highly doubt that Kim's proposal is the least bit feasible. We here have no standing to sue the Van Dams. Their actions have caused no injury to us, or to anyone with which we are connected. Therefore, we have no cause of action.

Thanks for your input amore. We had a local case in which citizens took the family of a girl kidnapped and murdered by a pedophile with a hateful attitude to court to make sure they spent all the donations in an appropriate way. Now, once a citizen donates the money, they relinquish rights correct? So, how would they have been harmed? It appears to me that if the children are neglected and/or abused, the parents would be criminals, aka harming society. What say ye?

WRT:the squabbling, as you well know, I hated it from day one. each of us has been misunderstood or our motivations were doubted, which was either justified or not, depending on the so called recipient of the ''flames''. a lot of people stayed away because of it... I know I missed your input.
