Red heifer born in Israel
Israel National News ^

Red Heifer Born in Israel (IsraelNN.com) In these days of difficulty for the Land of Israel, there is encouraging news as well...

It can now be revealed that less than one month ago, a red heifer was born in Israel. After the heifer's owner contacted the Temple Institute, on Friday, April 5th, 2001, Rabbi Menachem Makover and Rabbi Chaim Richman traveled to the farm where the heifer is located, to inspect and validate her status. The rabbis found her to be kosher and were satisfied that this heifer could indeed be a candidate to be used in the process of purification described in the book of Numbers, chapter 19. This is a prerequisite for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple.

Tradition records that a red heifer in our generation is a herald of the Messianic era. It is certainly an important development towards the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Our sages taught that Israel’s redemption can be compared to the dawn. "In the beginning, it progresses very slowly...but as it continues, it grows brighter and brighter."

Pictures of the heifer may be viewed at the Temple Institute .

Matt. 24 is a prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, not the end of the world. With that destruction the Jewish genealogical records were destroyed and Israel as a theocracy was never again to exist.

The fulfillment of the prophecies of Israel as God's people were fulfilled in the church where one is a member of the Christian race, neither Jew nor Gentile.

The people in Israel today are not God's chosen people in any sense. They are Jewish by race, but the theocracy has long ceased to exist.

Must meet stringent requirements. Must be without blemish. Not one white hair. Etc. etc. VERY rare indeed.

The A-Rabs have been excavating under the Dome of the Rok for several years. Jews have complained that their archeological history is being systematically removed and destroyed. Recently, structural cracks have begun to appear. There are grave concerns that the entire structure is near collapse.

That said, should it collapse, there would be an "opening" to build a new structure...perhaps a New Temple???

I know it won't make any difference to you, but neither christian or jewish is a race.
There are however people of every race who are believers in those religions.

I agree with your #41. God will judge the Jews and hold them accountable, just as he did in the Old Testatment.

The one thing that I cannot resolve is this: Israel used to have to cry out to God for help in its hour of need. Now that Israel possess atomic weapons will it cry out to God, or rely on its own pride to deal with conflict?

Thanks a lot for the link in response #40

I bookmarked it for future references on scripture.

I'm still confused, as the next chapter went on to speak about Moses..and I wonder at times if things mentioned in scripture truly are for "future" reference. I realize some scripture is about future events.. but will have to plead ignorance (with a willingness to learn and continue to try to) on this matter.

I really appreciated your help.

Thanks again!!

Imagine this scenario, Billy_bob_bob is more likely to believe in aliens that can travel light years as easily as we go to France, but he thinks those that believe in a Creator are nuts.

One of the reasons you can't find it in your bibles is that it is part of the JEWISH ritual (and oral traditions) that the priests performed. First the spice had to be found. It was in 1993. Then the ashes of the Red Heifer are used to purify the water used to clean and sanctify the other items the high priest must use...these are the next to be found in a dig. Wait and see, they'll be found soon. When that happens, it'll be time to start the rebuilding of the Temple.

I think this A-Rab uprising in Israel is part of the last days of evil (Arafart) asserting itself to destroy those chosen by G-d.

By the way, most importantly, whoever is the owner of the ashes of the Red Heiffer, (or the live Red Heiffer) is the true and only owner of the land of Israel. This is known to both Jews and Arab Muzlims. In fact, this is stated very clearly in the Muzlims Holy Book. If they refute it, they refute their faith.

THAT'S why this is SO IMPORTANT!!!

You're right. But that has never stopped people from giving it a good guess!

"Red heifers are a dime a dozen in many parts of the world."

Like Texas, I can show you a thousand just like it within 10 minutes of my house. But hey, if everyone needs an excuse to start WWIII, here it is.

"I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade - but there has to be more to this story than being a "red heifer". Red heifers are a dime a dozen in many parts of the world."

No. The requirement is without a single hair that is not red. Not common at all--anywhere. The posts about the earlier red's don't count because the candidate turned up with a white or black hair--maybe this one will too.

On the other hand, the prophecy and the requirements are not generally well understood, and application is less certain than believed.

Daniel 9:27 is a forecast that three and one-half years before the return of Jesus Christ, the person he describes as a "Prince" who is commonly understood to be the Anti-Christ (but who may be the False Prophet--Anti-Christ's spirtual right hand) will cause the Jewish sacrificial worship system to be terminated.

The sacrificial worship system has not been conducted since the spring of 70AD so implicit in the prophecy is the proposition that it will be reinstituted. No argument.

Dispensationalist believers generally assume and say that reinstitution of the worship system requires reconstruction of the Temple--that is probably not so. The sacrificial system was conducted for many years before construction of the first Temple, the last forty or fifty years at least in a tent. The actual leather tent (tabernacle) last used as a worship site exists in the hands of archeologists in Jerusalem. Courses of priests (descendents of Levi, Kohites)to conduct the sacrifices have been in training at the University in Jerusalem for some years.

It should surprise no one if the add on's to the Word requiring reconstruction of the Temple prove incorrect--and the sacrifices are resumed in the Tent. A 1974 article in Bible Archology Review supports the proposition that the holy of holies is actually located under the cupola of the winds and not under the Mosque.

The 18th Chapter of Isiah is a prophecy that at a time of famine in Ethopia, a gift will be brought from Ethopia to Jerusalem. There is of course a fair position that the Ark of the Covenant is located in Aksum (in Ethopia).

So, a series of events in which the Ark is returned to Jerusalem, intiating a return to the sacrifices would satisfy the condition of Daniel 9:27 and those events could occur in a very short period of time as contrasted with the time required to reconstruct the Temple.

Where does the Heifer fit? Well the requirement in Numbers is for a pureficiation rite accomplished with water and ashes from a red heifer before you conduct the sacrifices. Whether or not that is a real requirement I am uncertain although I suspect the orthodox rabbi's would say that it is.

However, the ashes from the current heifer are to be mixed with the ashes from the last heifer going back to mixing with the heifer used at the time of Moses (there have been a total of six or nine or some number like that in total, ashes mixed in sequence, of red heifers used for this purpose). Since the location of the earlier ashes is not known their recovery may also be a condition although there is some information around about where they might have been hidden.

At the point you see this stuff coming together however, you recognize that one significant precondition to occurence of the Abomination of Desolation event in Daniel 9:27 is in place. Now you can scoff about little green men all you like but at some point, you need to recognize that God is real and means to do exactly precisely what He says He is going to do.

Just the fact that anyone still cares about this sort of hokum in this day and age, is sad testimony to man's incapacity for mental evolution in the absence of catastrophes to cull the human herd.

However, if someone wanted to make a difference in the world by sacrificing a Red Heifer, Hitlery and Janet Reno certainly come to mind...

From what you just said, the price arrived in 64.5 AD.

Maybe. It's hard to say. IIRC, Jerusalem being the site of Mohammed's ascension is not based in any Islamic scripture except vaguely and was interpreted that way a few hundred years later. The tie to the Temple Mount location is even more tenuous. It was my understanding that the DotR falling into disrepair was because of simple neglect -- Muslims don't actually do much worshipping there, it seems to be more of a show of dominance -- but digging would explain a lot.

I do remember on a previous thread that the Holy of Holies explanation was pretty emphatic by those who knew.

Needless to say, this wouldn't be much of a reason for dismantling the DotR or even for building a new temple.
