What were they defending?

"I'd like to bring all the people from the Deheisheh refugee camp into Arafat's palace, and show them what goes on in there," says another soldier, Eran.

Now here we have an intelligent man. Despite all the Pallie airtime,I haven't heard anything near as sharp as this one is.

While I have no doubt that each of the specific claims in this article is true, I also have to admire it for the wonderfully subtle piece of propaganda that it is.

Blessing the Shabat wine in Arafat's chair?!? LOL! That's enough to make a Palestinian's blood boil.

My favorite: The jeeps, he claims, belong to Tanzim para-military commanders who "fled to the church area when the IDF entered the city. They left their equipment outside, and went inside the church."

LOL! Translation: the Tanzim commanders are a bunch of well-armed cowards. Have to run and hide in an infidel church!

"..There's a huge mahogany table in the meeting room, wall-to-wall red carpets, gold-plated cutlery, television sets in every room."

The humble abode of an oppressed people.

For these reservists, it was their first vacation leave since they received their mandatory call-up notices, a week and a half before.......

These guys must be the envy of the armed forces of all other nations. A week and a half on duty and they go on vacation. I don't think even the Teachers Union in the US could swing a deal like that ;-)

I wish they would let some media in to see it and broadcast it on the news...I would like to see it.
