Who said America was only a paycheck? Not me. But at least give them an opportunity to earn a paycheck.

Are you saying that without America, Mexicans do not have the opportunity to earn a paycheck?

I say that Mexicans have that opportunity right in Mexico. Of course, if it is a paycheck they want, then why do the majority live on welfare once here???

Now for reality. America cannot open its borders wide. If we did, you would be competing for your job against someone with nothing. Your standard of living would be lowered to that of a third world nation.

This country is not just about paychecks, as your suggestion that we are an opportunity to earn one suggests. We have a standard of living that is the highest in the world because we all work for it. Should we open our country to anyone from any third world nation, then factory workers, policemen, firefighters, etc., would all need to live in shacks in order to compete with someone willing to earn $1/hour.

That is not "world economics", that is insane.

If they can't build wealth in their own nation, then they must be looking to suckle off this one, right?
