I moved here from Berkeley in 1990 and have never used chains or snow tires...
I've been buying chains for each new vehicle I've purchased since 1964 and have yet use them... :o)

Thanks, we don't have chains and when we drive up to Mt.Charleston here we don't use them at all. Just good tries and careful driving , so far is all we needed.
