patricia, you know what is really telling and it's a testament to the remarkable leadership of Bush. Do you remember that idiot reporter who ambushed W in New Hampshire with that foreign policy pop quiz?. One of the questions that stumped Bush was the name of the leader of Pakistan ... of course Parvez Mushareff. Bush the idiot, right? 18 months later, George W. Bush enlisted Parvez Musharref to take an incredibly brave and risky position of supporting American efforts to destroy the Taliban in Afghanistan - against the opposition of Pakastani Muslim extremists loyal to the Taliban and Al-Qaida, and even elements within his own security forces. Unbeliveably courageous, and he would not have given this support without the assurances from, and trust in the word of, George W. Bush. The dummy. The haters of Bush will only remember his non-answers, they will never see the irony here or understand the huge difference between memorizing facts and leading people to noble and righteous ends.

AMEN!! Another part of the irony is that not only is President Bush a leader who inspires and leads others to righteous ends, but he is also smart, and a "quick study" (the words of his mother, but now known by the entire world), who has all the details well in hand.

I, for one, hope that detail obsessed, micromanager algore runs against him again, so that we can watch Bush bury him alive in the debates. I won't even be nervous about it this time.
(And I bet Gore won't press him on the 'Dingle-Norwood' bill either!)

Great post! Seems to me that foreign policy is one of Bush's strongest points now. I think we can all thank Condie Rice for that. She seems to be Dubya's most trusted advisor.

#258: "What's the catch?"
No catch ... IMO, the way you express and recall the facts is very nurturing.

#259: "... negative energy around this forum ... not this thread."
GLAD you clarified that REAL fast! LOL! Agreed and sad. It has to be mostly a new group coming to FR for this specific purpose. My tolerance with them is -0-. Miss Marple is the shining light at 'debating with them' ... I just ignore them, for what they say is not based in fact.

#261: I do remember that 'idiot reporter who ambushed W', and think your reflections upon the subject salient. I have always thought the 'ambush' told me volumes about the idiot reporter ... and the way W responded is just another of the "remarkable leadership" incidents ... W did NOT try to fake his way through.

"... leading people to noble and righteous ends."
I think this is true on the world level, the national level, and the level of the individual. It brings me such joy to 'watch and listen to' W ... for it inspires me to be and do better.
