President Bush welcomed British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the Western White House today for talks about the current crisis in the Middle East. The meeting was initially supposed to be about Iraq, but has taken a detour given recent events in Israel. In an interview with Granada television, however, Bush made it clear that Saddam Hussein has to go (see the QotD). Enjoy the daily dose of Dubya!

The first photo - the quintessential W on the ranch. Look at that smile and his whole face has relaxed. Sheesh...too bad he can't govern from Texas. He so LOVES it there.

Tony needs to lighten up. A tie?
Well, he does have his suit jacket unbuttoned, so I'd say he is very casual. :-) I just love to see President Bush looking so relaxed - and the jeans are cool. This week was a tough one for him. I hate to see him negotiating with that viper Arafat, but I trust our President . Just keep praying for him - our Lord will guide him and he will listen.

It's time for me to thank you again for this thread!

I was thinking the exact same thing... Saddam better get the Depends ready because in a few weeks, I suspect he'll be crapping his pants.

You are so right. If Condi's there, it isn't just to kick back her heels for the weekend. Me thinks there's some serious planning going on in Crawford this weekend.
I heard on Fox News tonight that they have a joint press conference schedued for 12:30 pm tomorrow. I'd guess that's Eastern time.

As A "Bush Buck" I find Laura the best looking first lady this country has ever had. A down to earth, beautiful woman who reeks of class, and the true defination of a Lady.

Fox aired the arrival. Reading body language and gestures, it looked like Blair was sheepish about having a tie on, and the President said something funny to make him feel at home. Then Blair unbuttoned his jacket.
Laura Bush will be leading the delegation to the Queen Mother's funeral. And I bet she won't wear a black pantsuit.

Well, there would certainly be some serious water displacement going on!

Especially after these remarks from President Bush...
"No nation can pick and choose its terrorist friends. I call on the Palestinian Authority and all governments in the region to do everything in their power to stop terrorist activities, to disrupt terrorist financing, and to stop inciting violence by glorifying terror in state-owned media, or telling suicide bombers they are martyrs. They're not martyrs. They're murderers. And they undermine the cause of the Palestinian people.
Those governments, like Iraq, that reward parents for the sacrifice of their children are guilty of soliciting murder of the worst kind.
