A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 4/5/02

President Bush welcomed British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the Western White House today for talks about the current crisis in the Middle East. The meeting was initially supposed to be about Iraq, but has taken a detour given recent events in Israel. In an interview with Granada television, however, Bush made it clear that Saddam Hussein has to go (see the QotD). Enjoy the daily dose of Dubya!

Parents are in heaven on earth. They have a two bedroom, two bath apartment which is kept clean for them, and someone takes care of their clothes, and the "restaurant" there has terrific meals.

I'll never forget the first meal we sat down to after moving them there, we were late for dinner as we were still on Pacific time and they were starting to close the dining hall, and the waitress asked if we wanted the roast beef or the lobster thermidor? LOL!!

Do you like horses? My brother and sister-in-law have a little ranch near Greenville. She keeps horses and is quite a good horsewoman. They are also party animals, and if you like a good time, I could wrangle you an invite to meet them.

I think I'm gonna call it a night. John Grisham and I stayed up far too late last night. I'd like to pick the sty up a bit b/4 bed, too. Thanks again, for a great thread.

Oh, btw, I'm going out to buy a wedding gift tomorrow, and will be searching for Israeli goods. The bride & groom are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond....I'll let you all know if I'm successful!!! Nite!

I think Blair just thinks of Laura as a dear sister.

Maybe. But he does look glad to see her. Did you ever see anyone (including billy) look that happy to see hilly? :-)

What a weird thing this will be for me.....I've never been to a wedding w/o Gramps. He's out of town. And I'm dateless.

My dad inlaw sent this joke to me ..

Jeff had gone to propose to his girlfriend and returned home crying bitterly. "What happened, son?" his father asked, eagerly awaiting her response. "Did she accept?"

"No, she sure didn't," sobbed Jeff. "When I told her what you advised me to say, she slapped my face and told me to get out."

"Did you begin by telling her what I told you to say, what I told your mother when she accepted my proposal? 'Sweetheart, time stands still when I look in your eyes.' Did you tell her that?" asked his father.

"Oh boy, dad, did I got it all wrong," Jeff groaned. "I said, 'My Dear, you have a face that would stop a clock'!"

OK, so I'm still here....and I still don't know how to link a thread. I was checking out there, one more time....and found this one. It's titled "Peace activists abused on way home". What a pathetic bunch of whiney irritable wimpy people. Good grief.

Oh, I LOVE the joke! Thanks!!!! Poor guy, think I should copy this & give it to him tomorrow????
