I would like to see the police stop everybody regardless of skin color and check their papers. I wouldn't mind if the police asked to see my papers. I haven't broken any laws so I have nothing to worry about.

You post on/read FR and you want to see the police stop everybody and check their papers?

I'm at a loss for words.

I'm just looking at the big picture. We have a major problem with illegal immigration in this country and it's getting worse with each passing day. How do we get it under control? We have to do something. We have to start somewhere. Think about all the times we have to show our ID (our papers) in our daily life. Today I took money out of my bank account and had to show my ID. Then I went to the post office to pick up a package and had to show my ID. If I were to fly somewhere this weekend, I would have to show my ID at the ticket counter and maybe at the boarding gate too. If by showing my "papers" it makes this country safer from terrorism and at the same time helps to round up the millions of illegal aliens, then I feel that's a small price to pay. Sure, you give up a little bit of freedom in the process, but then freedom is not pure or absolute to start with.
