U.S. citizens who are of Jewish ancestry vote about 85% Democrat and this has always flummoxed me. Look who are the strongest supporters of Israel--it's conservatives, notably CHRISTIAN conservatives.
Truth be known, if members of the House and Senate had to make a choice between support of Israel and support of Palestine, it would be the GOP who would back Israel.
The black caucus is usually virulently opposed to Israel.
Maybe this episode will shake U.S. Jewry from their slumber and reveal to them who's really on the side of Israel.

If you ask me, it's about time we remind them. If they're so in love with the commie left, isn't about time we pointed out that without the political right there will be no Israel?
After all, it's hardly the case that they're new to the idea of political patronage, eh? You want Israel? We want your support come election time.
