A bunch of 17 year old punks in a gun battle also would count in their little story. This story is way to skewed to trust.

If you have an address (email or otherwise) for this Chris Hain useful idiot, point him to this link on my website:

Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide for 2000 (Requires Adobe Acrobat reader to view.)
http://www.joebrower.com/RKBA/RKBA_FILES/GOV_DOCS/FFRRG_2000.pdf

This document is over 350 pages long. Then ask him to see how many regs exist for his teddy bears.

Case closed.

You may also want to write a letter to the editor of the Houston Chronicle pointing out this fact.

more than 28,000 Americans died by firearms, giving guns the infamous distinction as the second leading cause of product-related death behind motor vehicles. Even more disturbing, firearms are the second

65% of those victims are criminals being killed by other criminals
Good riddance

Thanks for posting this and getting my blood moving this morning! Once again, we've got some liberal out trying to impress with his level of sheer ignorance - kinda like the gun grabbers have wheeled out another one - and as usual, he will be treated as the pop-up target he really is.

Now, how many .50 cal sniper rifles have been used for murders? Terrorism? (Not counting intentional kills by law enforcement/military.) ZERO. And if this pickle-kissing moron didn't know it, the one thing on earth that has been OVERTESTED prior to public sales would be firearms IAW the tens of thousands of regulations that losers just like this guy have placed upon an essential industry. Actually, for our personal freedom and Liberty, this is the most important of all industries. No wonder it is his enemy.

Is there any way that this guy can come over to my place and do some sit-ups for me out in the field? (Any light, any weather. Just three or four sit-ups. PLEEEEZE.)

Well, when you start letting your toddler play with a loaded .44 magnum, perhaps it might be time for additional safety features.

Amazing! I read an article virtually identical to this about a year ago- even had the teddy bear angle prominent in it. I swear they recycle this garbage!

of these victims, more than 250 were children aged 19 and younger. And how many of them were killed in the commission of a felony? Funny how a "19 year old child", can already have been in the Army for a year.

Where is the Constitutional authority for government to inspect anything?

if he had any guts, he'd include contact information for the trash he puts out.

I’m not sure about the underlying statistics of my hypothesis, but I don’t think many people throw a firearm in Junior’s crib before bedtime. Another stupid, bogus argument presented by the anti-gun morons. These people just get dumber and dumber. Good grief.

Cheers!!

There also is no way to prevent the introduction of firearms into the civilian market that pose a serious threat to public safety, such as .50 cal. sniper rifles. These high-caliber, long-range sniper rifles were designed for military use and are capable of shooting down aircraft and penetrating armor. Yet they are available for sale to 18 year-olds, making them easier to buy than handguns.

Shooting down aircraft??? This guy truly is a moron.

Well, very, very rich 18-year olds, anyway. I didn't have the money for a Barrett when I was 18.

No federal health and safety agency has the authority to recall defective firearms

Well, when the purpose of the product is to kill, I wouldn't illustrate the problems of "defective" merchandise with death statistics.

Anybody catch the contradiction in his argument?

First he says: ...more teens and children die by firearm-related homicide than gun-related suicide or unintentional shootings.

Then he says: What types of guns are often involved in youth shootings? Cheap, poorly designed handguns...

The thrust of his arguments is that many guns are unsafe because they are poorly designed, but then he says that most of the youth shootings ARE NOT unintentional (or accidental). This writer needs a serious course in logic.

Even more disturbing, firearms are the second leading cause of death overall for children ages 15 to 19

19 year old "children"? Just out of curiosity, what was the minimum service age for WWII and Vietnam?

Ever notice when it comes to parential consent for abortion, homosexuality, pediphillia, childbirth, liberation, and many other socilist agendas, they're considered adults and old enough to express their true desires (12 years old), but when it comes to Constitutional or moral issues, they're only children at 19?
It depends on what "is" is to a liberal regressive.
Now they link 19 year old "children" and Teddy Bears. It's Bazzar!

Actually, I think the number is closer to 1/2 a million, or even more accurately, 400,000 per year.
