I have a few favorite movies for this list, I would be interested if someone could poster the movie posters for these.
Patton (A better role model for the American way IMHO)
Soldier (OK it's Kurt Russel, but it shows that superior technolgy and training will never beat true warrior spirit)
Heartbreak Ridge (Yes it's cheesy but Eastwood is a damn good Marine and I would
NOT want to meet him in a dark alley
Full Metal Jacket (I do not think I have ever seen a movie that demonstrates "war is hell" as well until my next choice on the list came out)
Blackhawk Down (Tell any of our guys in Somalia they "lost" that battle and I don't expect you'll come away with all your teeth and internal organs in tact)
Pearl Harbor (Yes it is a very bad movie, which is why I waited until it came on DVD to see it in order to get past all the crap love scenes. Despite historical inaccuracies, it has a well filmed attack seen that blew me away when I saw it. Hopefully it is the last ANYTHING I will have to endure with Alec Baldwin in it)
Enemy at the Gates (I am torn on this, it's an excellent duel film. I am not sure how I like the "heroic Stalinist Russia" angle, but the battle scenes were good, and it seemed like the feelings portrayed rang true, plus Ed Harris is just about my favorite actor)
Glory (very good all around, this should have won more oscars, Morgan Freeman was excellet)
Courage Under Fire (an excellent story about the Gulf War, and a tale of what heroism, cowardice and the truth
Well, anyway, those are my favorite war flicks
