Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon says the military siege in Palestinian towns will continue despite US President George W Bush's call for an Israeli pullout. Oh well...Bush tried.
It's not his fault if that naughty Sharon won't listen.
Even after the UN unanimously fell in line with the Bush position.Imagine that! LOL.
Bush is a fox.

Believe it!I do. Sharon will be done with what little he can do by the time Powell arrives. Sharon knows that he is only buying time and the players on our side understand it. Sharon is loosing the PR war as usual and will be happy to get the talks back on track.(if possible)
Arafat needs time to regroup and will lie his ass off as usual. We know this as well. We need the Arabs to get involved in the talks, even though peace is not in their best interests.(They need the israelies to hate so their people won't revolt.)
I see no real end to this until the entire Islamic world becomes more moderate and accepts Democracy.

If Sharon terminates Arafat, the Europeans will go absolutely nuts and will impose sanctions on Israel and will demand that Israel get the treatment Serbs were administered not so long ago. What sanctions can the EU place on Israel? They can demand nothing. Stop making excuses for Israel's lack of will. Whatever happened to "never again"?
To: Lessismore
Israel is not the country Bush is defending. Ariel Sharon will be accountable to Israel's voters if he fails to smash the PLO AND expel Arafat from the Jewish State. Sharon will point to Powell Israel demonstrated restraint before only to be repaid with the slaughter of 125 dead Jews in the last month. No one in Israel wants to go through that situation again so Israel's government for the moment could care less about world opinion.

Right again, Howlin. This Alphonse and Gaston act is as carefully scripted as one of Hillary's press conferences.
Does anyone think GW and Sharon aren't on the horn a couple times a day? That two wily chess masters aren't working in tandem with a keen eye kept on the Arab spectators all around them? That they aren't just shooting from the lip and haven't worked out the moves ahead of time?
Remember, GW told us after 911 that there will be things in the war on terrorism we'll know and things we won't know. That this is a different kind of war with different tactics.
All this talky-talk is strategary, folks. You can count on it!

Do you have inside information? If so, please elaborate.

Now, exactly when, is hell suppose to freeze over?

To: Reagan Man
Well, they can do it in one of two ways.
Orderly and gradually or all at once. I guess it will be their choice. I see no other options.
The all at once option will make for quite a show. I don't think we could use that much rock and sand in our inventory.

I don't disagree that Sharon should have taken care of Arafat when the opportunity presented itself last Friday. However, you seem not to understand the degree that the opinion outside of Isarel and the United States supports Arafat and his terrorist minions. If you go to Europe they actually think that Israel is latter day Nazi Germany and that its civilians deserve to be blown up.

Unless you have been in a cave for the last 20 years that has been the opinion of the "outside" all along. Either Israel is willing to fight for itself or it should quietly disband and go someplace else.

You have given any court enough evidence to find you guilty of trying to see beneath the surface of what we see and hear on the media. Guilty of trusting our President and Sharon too. Refreshing. Thank you very much!
Your sentence? Post more often.

what they should do is destroy Arafat and Syria.

Good cop bad cop routing being set up.
To: Ronin
Well, I hope so. I also hope Bush has a better plan than the PR job he's been doing lately.

Why is Arafat still breathing? Because your wonderboy extracted a public promise from Sharon that he would not harm Arafat. I know this is a really hard concept for RINOs to grasp, but men of honor their word.

Because your wonderboy extracted a public promise from Sharon that he would not harm Arafat. I know this is a really hard concept for RINOs to grasp, but men of honor their word. Once again, making excuses. Sharon is the Prime Minister of a sovereign country. His willingness to let the PA and Arafat exist is treason against that country.

Israel ignores Bush withdrawal callGood. Just as I would expect Bush to ignore Sharon if he said we must stop our incursions into Afghanistan.
I, for one, abhor doublestandards almost as much as I do terrorists.
