I think your analysis is absolutely right. Especially the last line! :)

I also believe that this gives Bush and Israel the chance to gain the high moral ground. One more suicide bomber after Powell gets there and both Bush and Israel will have the justification to remove Arafat once and for all. After all, the UN, EU, et all won't be able to say we didn't try...They did vote, unanimously, to accept the U.S. plan.

That's right. Isn't it amazing that after all the so-called outrage around the world (and among some of our own politicians) at Bush's actions....that the UN unaminously endorses Bush's plan within a few hours?
Talk about a reversal.

Once again Bush has shown an uncanny ability to difuse a seemingly huge political liability and pull the teeth out of the opposition.
