SUBJECT: What good can a handgun do against an Army?
Well if some lunatic would take a handgun and resist the U.S. maybe they would report back, I doubt it though.
Too many cheap action novels and thrillers and supposedly adults still buy into their never-neverland fantasies of citizens overthrowing a government by force.
Not in this day and age.

Not in this day and age.I wonder what the afghans would think of this statement. As it was the mighty Russians with their tanks, helicopters and armys gave up and left Afghanistan in defeat.

Apparently you didn't read the article...or watch the news for the last few years.

Wrong question
Correct questions:
- What good is an Army without people willing to deliver ammo and food, collect taxes to pay for supplies, do paperwork to purchase supplies from suppliers, rent apartments to dependents of Army personnel, etc?
- What good is a handgun against all the civilians who must do stuff for the Army, in order for that Army to be anything more than a bunch of starving people in ragged uniforms walking around without ammo?

"Not in this day and age."I give you Mohammad and Malvo. These two guys terrorized the DC area with just one weapon. And if they had only been reasonably smart about it, they would still be out there frustrating the efforts of the LEO community. The military wouild not have had any better luck.
Yes, even in this day and age.
