I think Beamer wants to say hi. Beamer is the Canteen Mascot.

Let me introduce you to the man who will be introducing the models momentarily. Looking every bit as smashing as the models, I give you the inimitable Mr. SAMWolf. Take it away, Sam!

Our first model is.....uh-oh... looks like they're not quite ready for prime time. Say, have you heard the one about....?

Here's Whoever, looking like the vision she is, or is that.... isn't?

Mama_Bear's looking like one fine Mama, isn't she? Something about those California bears!

I tell you, that DaisyScarlett doesn't just look good, she can COOK, too!

Everybody loves a redhead! Here's the Canteen's sassy redhead, SassyMom....

Ah, Victoria Delsoul.....with a name like that, you know she's gotta be beautiful.....

Do blondes have more fun? This one certainly does, and is more fun to be around than anybunny could ever imagine......SnowBunny, Canteen Hostess Extraordinaire!

Here's the other Canteen Hostess, Billie. She's the ornery one, you can tell by the way she moves, you don't wanna cross her. (Watch those graphics - not too big, please!)

Thought you might like to see some of the ladies responsible for keeping the Canteen kitchen full of surprises. That's Mountaineer on the left, then Iowa Granny, and uh....who is that on the right....oh, that's who on the right.

One last look at some of the lovely ladies of the Canteen, and then we'll......
GUYS! Oh, geez, GUYS! Louie, Diver, what th'?.......
Ok, let's try again....Left to right below are some of the lovely ladies who grace the Canteen regularly with their presence, their wit, charm, talents, prayers and support for our troops: Mountaineer, Victoria Delsoul, LadyX, Whoever, D4now, Snow Bunny, Aquamarine, Teacup, SusanUSA, DaisyScarlett, Iowa Granny, SassyMom, Mama_Bear, Spookbrat, and Billie.

My dream is a cabin in the mountains or woods and go to town once a month for supplies. But FallGuy would hate that. hahaha

I am seriously looking into building a log cabin home with a barn and a loft apartment in it for visitors. We are hoping to be able to travel for a year soon and try to decide what we want to do with ourselves. I have a book that I have been working on for more than 10 yrs and I would love to have the chance to finish it. The problem is that it is working it's way into more than one book because the work I have done relative to adoption has so many facets. Do people really ever retire? I can't imagine it. Life is so full of things to do and places to go! America is beautiful!

LOL.....I agree, there is no real retirment for people like us. FallGuy could never not do things. He is always building things around the house and property.

I wish you the best with your book too.

hahhaaha.... My parents had a second home in Switzerland way up in the mountains. And like you just said, once a month was a lot.For them it usually was stock up for the winter and then go into town in the spring. You are right.

Boy, living in Santa Barbara I know about how expensive California can be!

You live in Santa Barbara? Lucky you! It's a beautiful town, but you are right, very expensive. My husband is a graduate of Brooks Institute and we were married in the Methodist Church on Anapamu Street, many moons ago. There was no way we could stay there and ever afford to buy a house, so we moved inland. I love to go back and visit. But I can't believe the amount of traffic on Cabrillo on the weekends. It was not like that when we lived there.

What a revolting development this has turned out to be. Bunny, are you sure you wouldn't prefer one of those nice cyber dresses that costs nothing?

Love today's opening style show!! I want to thank The Thin Man for such outstanding work!

Well thank you Norb. It's good to see my hard work acknowledged. To be fair, Billie made minor contributions, but offhand I can't remember what they were. :-)

I sure hope Billie's fast asleep.
