My dream is a cabin in the mountains or woods and go to town once a month for supplies. But FallGuy would hate that. hahaha

Goodnight Flag Man, please tell her Happy Birthday from the Canteen and all of us.
We all LOVE you Flag Man.

I am seriously looking into building a log cabin home with a barn and a loft apartment in it for visitors. We are hoping to be able to travel for a year soon and try to decide what we want to do with ourselves. I have a book that I have been working on for more than 10 yrs and I would love to have the chance to finish it. The problem is that it is working it's way into more than one book because the work I have done relative to adoption has so many facets. Do people really ever retire? I can't imagine it. Life is so full of things to do and places to go! America is beautiful!

LOL.....I agree, there is no real retirment for people like us. FallGuy could never not do things. He is always building things around the house and property.
I wish you the best with your book too.

hahhaaha.... My parents had a second home in Switzerland way up in the mountains. And like you just said, once a month was a lot.For them it usually was stock up for the winter and then go into town in the spring. You are right.
To: SAMWolf
giggle.....wouldn't it be fantastic.
To: Snow Bunny
Well, since the book has been hanging around for 10 yrs already it is likely to hang around the next 10! There is something to be said about focus! :)

Boy, living in Santa Barbara I know about how expensive California can be! You live in Santa Barbara? Lucky you! It's a beautiful town, but you are right, very expensive. My husband is a graduate of Brooks Institute and we were married in the Methodist Church on Anapamu Street, many moons ago. There was no way we could stay there and ever afford to buy a house, so we moved inland. I love to go back and visit. But I can't believe the amount of traffic on Cabrillo on the weekends. It was not like that when we lived there.
To: Snow Bunny
Wow, how neat to have a cabin in Switzerland! Like Heidi and the grandfather!

Sort of....you are so cute MSIT.
Your book sounds interesting, I am adopted and have always felt so blessed. I was a baby so God was very good to me.

Love today's opening style show!! I want to thank The Thin Man for such outstanding work!Well thank you Norb. It's good to see my hard work acknowledged. To be fair, Billie made minor contributions, but offhand I can't remember what they were. :-)
I sure hope Billie's fast asleep.
