" Oc course this doesn't prove god but only that a belief in a god (whether he exists or not) can restrain people from killing each other."
Never said that it proved that there is a God. However, I am glad you agree with me that atheism leads to immorality.
The statement "belief in god can prevent people from killing one another" does not logically imply that "atheism leads to immorality".

I also thought it's somehow funny that he wrote that although he knows that I am an atheist. He could as well have written that I agree with him that I am an immoral person.

The statement "belief in god can prevent people from killing one another" does not logically imply that "atheism leads to immorality".That may be true but life and humans are not a logical theorem. People are often more motivated by passion than by reason for one thing. In addition one must ask why does someone reject God? Why does someone reject the beliefs of their society? These are the two main sources of morals in the world, someone rejecting these must have a reason. I seriously doubt that in most cases such a rejection is due to deep philosophical or scientific research into the question of the validity of atheism, it is due to their desire to reject any moral restraints upon their behavior or due to their already having acted immorally and wishing to continue to do so.
