I thought that this was a discussion regarding evolution.You are darned right it is relevant, because with a God evolution is nonsense. You cannot deny that your species came out of your beloved pond scum if there was a Creator around to do things properly.

The existence or intervention of a creator is not an issue in evolution, it neither proposes nor denies any. Further, the existence of a God does not disprove evolution even if it can be demonstrated that "special creation" of the species did occur. Evolution works on existing life forms, it makes no difference if those life forms came about as a result of divine intervention.
