Fascinating how you keep using the word "voluntary" when a tax supported branch of government is sponsoring the event.

You are wrong. The event is funded by the Torrance Education Foundation, a non-profit foundation.

It says so clearly in the article; read before opining.

And you clearly did not notice the references in the article to this being held on campus, the "North High Community" which "pulled this together", and the alternative sites discussed being other schools. And now for the bonus question LfD, where does the "nonprofit Torrance Education Foundation" get ITS $$$ FROM?

I see you live in CA, you should know that I live a mile and half away from North High in Torrance CA before speculating on what the source of the TEF funds are.

So your next in the box LfD, since "gfactor"did'nt have the huevos to answer me.
Is it OK to have a school district allow for a christian harvest crusade to be held on school premises, on a saturday, with attendence being "voluntary" [with an opt out form ;-)], and using ancilliary support (announcements, teacher assistance, etc.) from government employees?
