Bush is on Sharon's side. They are working hand-in-glove. Bush is no doubt as glad to have the Israelis on hand to deal with Arafat and Hezbollah as he was to have the services of the Northern Alliance to eliminate the Taliban and crush al-Qaeda. This whole operation is also a useful protype for the removal of Saddam. I suspect that, when that day comes, we will want too take Saddam hostage rather than kill him outright: that would achieve our strategic objectives while reducing the risk of retaliation by his sleepers.

2 Clintoon Administrations gave the Arab'RAT terrorists all the time they needed to organize and arm. Clintoon did nothing, but look weak. Suicide Bombers require organization and organization requires money. You are right to assume the Bush Administration will fight this war against terror by proxy - via the Israeli Armed Forces. The damage done to yet another Islamic terrorist organizational complex will be considerable. This is why the terrorist-supporters in the Arab world are screaming so loudly -- the want the liberal pluralists in the US to back Bush off. Let's hope Bush stays the course.
