This happened in my hometown in south Louisiana while I was a teen--a priest ran off with a woman and married her. They took him back, when he divorced her. We also had Gilbert Gauthe in our church. And a male organist who made passes at boys. We also had a deacon who used to date women in the church, and get real cozy (at least they were adults). Haven't had any scandals in subsequent churches.....just liberal priests who can't preach and will NOT talk about any type of sexual sin. I won't speculate why.

If I sound disillusioned, I am. Because bishops are not handling the situation properly, you're not the only one! The buck stops with the bishops. But as we are finding out, there are sexually active homosexual bishops who turn a blind eye to stuff like this.
