I had not heard of the borehole logging technique being used to generate historical temperature profiles. I was curious how the investigators had handled some of the obvious variables. Since you had posted an article on it, I thought you might know.

My work on this was over 30 years ago. I didn't work in temperature logging. I and others conceptualized how to build a borehole temperature tool to do certain things, and the company got a patent.
