You're right. A long time ago. We were all a lot younger then (how nice for that!), those of us who were around then.

But geologically speaking, it was a mere nanosecond ago, and yet look what's changed. Suddenly the chicken-little-scientists are screaming Warming, instead of Cooling. A mere nanosecond has changed their mind. Could the facts have altered so much during that nanosecond? Or is it the politics?

Hmmmm... I bet: It's the politics.

Yep....
In the summer of '74 I found myself 5 hours short of graduating, so I took a crib course....Ecology 101.

Nothing but doom and gloom from Paul Ehrlich and Rachel Carson telling us that there would be ....too many people.... starving..... and cold. The DDT would break all the bird's eggs...global cooling would take care of the vegetation...and oil would be gone.

Today the text books say we are wasting energy, we are obese and we are heating up the planet.
What's a poor boy to do?
