I thought of that too, but it won't happen that way. The Cold War did not involve direct confrontation because both sides were smart enough not to let it get to that point. We have already been attacked, and we will continue to be attacked. We will soon be at war with the Middle East nations.

I have always felt that engaging in nation building in Iraq(installing american institutions there) would force the neighboring peoples to face, the disfunctionality of their Islamic Culture.
