Because I'd defend anyone against crewl neanderthal like animalistic treachery. There are a lot of things I don't like in the world. Bombing someone's grandmother and infant isn't the way to make it right.

The Palestinians, the Hamas and the Hezballah are revealing their true natures. Their acts say nothing at all about Israel. What kind of a low life degenerate missing link would it take to think that bombings of innocents was appropriate?

I support Israel because when I see Jewish people it reminds me that Joshua did fight the battle of Jericho, and the walls did 'come tumblin' down.'

Because Israeli's enemies are far, far worse.

Forget about Israel being the "only democracy" in the area. They may be able to vote but that is about it. On the scale of economic freedom, they rank #43 in the world. Behind such states as Germany, Great Britain, Chile, Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates. They is nothing in their system of government we want here.

Because they have the right to defend themselves.

If they were surrounded by nothing but sane, peace loving, capatalistic democracies/republics, then I probably wouldn't care one way or the other...but that ain't the case - not even close.

First and foremost, because God Almighty promised Abraham, "I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee."

Because one of my dearest friends is the son of Holocaust survivors, and he is Bibi's closest political advisor. Because I've been to Israel, and seen what the Jewish people have done in a little over 50 years: transformed a barren wasteland into a vibrant country.

Because the Jews are the chosen people of my God, and because my Savior is a Jew.

And finally, because Arabs are barbarians incapable of civilized behavior, and anything approcahing self-government.

Arafat has raised and brainwashed a generation of homicidal monsters

Like some psychotic insane crazed Gepetto, Islam has carved puppets of distruction inside it's religious workshop of horrors. With the help of evil assistants like Arafat and countless Muslim "clerics".

Puppet masters like Arafat must be done away with.

In my opinion it is not a matter of "pro Israel", rather "pro-peace" and "anti-terrorism". How can there ever be peace in that region when groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad, Fatah, Martyrs Brigades and others have stated goals to destroy Israel? They will not stop, even when Isreal backs off and tries to negotiate peace. This has been proven time and time again.

The terrorists are backed by Arafat and the Palestinian Authority which are themselves terrorists. Terrorism and suicide bombers cannot be acceptable in any government, regional or world order, period. Terrorism is all about short cutting the political process practiced by illegitimate "power grabbers".

Do you not think things would be different if the Palistinians took up arms to fight a regional war with Israeli's Army instead of using barbaric acts of terrorism?

Israel, the US and even the United Nations are now finally going about proving this fact to the world -- that the terrorists must be destroyed in order to have peace. Once this is done, the Arab and international communities can pressure both sides to accept concessions, compromises and make peace.

It is somewhat similar to the Afgan situation where the Taliban had to be uprooted along with the al-Qaeda to bring peace in the region.

Could you ever see Germany or France or any other nation on the face of the earth sustain the attacks Israel has and not return in kind? Of course not but they want Israel to restrain itself. Where is Israel the bad guy in all of this? They have done everything for peace and nearly gave away their defacto capital. Did it stop the terrorists? NO! Does anyone other than a brain-numb pacifist believe that there can be peace with the Muslims?

Whether you subscribe to the belief that Islam is a peaceful religion or has been "hi-jacked" by militants, the end result is that their religion is what it has become regardless of its desire to be seen otherwise and that is militant. They have become a religion of hate and annihilation. All the rhetoric in the world will not obfuscate the reality of the vast majority of Muslim nations either supporting, hiding or aiding in some way, terrorism.

When was the last time any significant number of Muslims in the USA stood up and boldly denounced the acts of terrorism? Nearly everyday we read of yet another mosque where hate is the primary topic being taught and that's right here in America! I am NOT advocating hate toward the Muslims or even military action just an awakening to the empty rhetoric and an awareness of their true motives and where this religion really is today.

I am Pro-Israel because the Palestinian people are the terrorist aggressors killing innocent Israeli people. At one time the Palestinian people may have had a legitimate reason for compromise with the Israeli's. But they have turned a semi-legitimate reason for negotiation into a kill all Jews campaign even when the Israeli's were willing to give them more than what they asked for.
At that time when the Palestinians refused the deal they were offered it became very obvious to me that the Palestinian people would not except anything but the total annihalation of Israel & it's people. There will never be peace in Israel until she destroys her enemies and that may include other Middle Eastern Countries as well as the Palestinians.

I'm every bit as Pro-Israel as I am Pro-Sweden, Pro-Mexico, Pro-Egypt, Pro-Nigeria, and Pro-Japan.

I think it's a big mistake to tie our nation's goals too tightly to the goals of Israel. I don't see them as one in the same.

Because I've read "THE BOOK" and I know what the ending will be. I am adoped, as a Christian, to be a child of the Living God, who is the God of Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah, etc. And even though the Jews do not believe Jesus was the Messiah, right now, they are still the chosen people of the Living God and we as Christians know that we are their adopted brothers and sisters. In the end times God has promised to protect and fight for HIS people.

Discussed this this morning with a classmate (she knows I'm a Bible believing Christian, and she was impressed that I am as firm a Zionist as she, a Jew, is).

What it comes down to is this. Lets assume for a minute the Palastinian cause is just, and that they are fighting an invading occupation-- then why arent their targets limited to military and government targets? The moment they target civilians, they lose all claims.

That, and Pakistan has as much of a right to exist as Israel. Both were partitioned for religious regions by the same colonial power (Britain) at about the same time. Funny how no one considers Pakistan an illegitimate government over Indian land....

I am Pro-Israel, and always have been, because God said in Genesis that He will bless those who bless Abram, later named Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and curse those who curse Abram, later named Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I would rather be on God's side.

I am not so much pro-Israel as I am anti-terrorist.

I heard on Tampa radio this morning the unchallenged fallacy that the 1967 war, when Israel wiped out a bunch of Egyptian airplanes on the ground, was an act of aggression by Israel against Egypt. My understanding is that this was a defensive action by Israel. This revisionist history galls me to no end.

To hear terrorist Arafat state, and go unchallenged, that Israel's actions of the last week were acts of aggression makes me wonder why the news media is so pro-Palestinian.

I take the position that if someone attacks me in my home, and continues to do so, and I can't get any satisfaction from the legal authorities, then I have the right of self-defense and will seek that attacker down and deal with him wherever he may be, so that I can move around my home in peace. I see Israel's actions as nothing more than that. The moral support the Palestinian Authority gets throughout the world gives them the courage to continue in their terrorist bombings. If the rest of the world did not try to appease them by giving them verbal support, this current crisis would not exist. All it has done is prolong it.

In addition to all the reasons already cited (Israel has the only freely-elected government in the region, etc.), conservatives' support for Israel goes back to the cold war, when the commies actively supported (and armed) the arabs. It's interesting to note that the American Left opposes Israel in this conflict (even many american jews!) and have been apologists for Arafat, for the same historical reason. Notice how the european pinko peaceniks went to see and protect Arafat ... why didn't they go position themselves in the Israeli coffee houses and resteraunts if they want to protect someone?

It's quite simple, because I'm told to. "I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee."

>Why Are You Pro-Israel?

Because God is.  Because He made everlasting covenants with her promising not to desert her, and neither will I.  Because He blesses those who bless her and curses and destroys those who curse her.  Because there is a draw, a pull, a something about Israel like a call from Home.  Because I can't sleep nights worrying about her, caring for her and her people, praying for her, praying He'll comfort His people and strengthen them.
