This is scary, has anyone seen the email thats going around about a new computer virus that resides in your computer's power supply and transmits/infects from via the electrical wall socket?
It uses 220-221, Volts, whatever it takes and spreads itself to entire electrical grids.
Has anyone else heard about this?

Or in doubt,
Run around,
Scream and shout.

I really don't think this is possible. Think about it, how would it get there???By subway, of course.

Must be getting close. A nearby tanker radios that his coffee maker is on the fritz.
I told him about the virus and that it would cause all his children to be born naked.

Oh, thank you, thank you, for the help with countermeasures. Is that a square knot or a gordian knot?Square for PC's, Gordian for Macs. WebTV users should use a Granny knot.

Oh, NO!!!! I HATE when THAT happens!

I think I must have a mutated version, my tv commericals are for the AbsBlaster.

You can kill the virus with a paperclip. All you need to do is unbend a #4 paperclip and jab it into the wall socket 3 or 4 times. It works best if you have just taken a shower and are still damp.

Yes, it's true but there is a filter you can buy which will disinfect all of the infested electrons carrying the virus. The filter is about the size of a beer can and is installed between your wall socket and PC. Once the filter is installed, you must run your system for (according to manufacturer) 1 hour to insure all electrons have cycled through the filter at least twice. Instructions also direct the user to give the PC a gentle "shake" every 5 minutes or so to shake loose any magnetized electrons clinging to metal cases and brackets within the PC. I recommend using the filter for at least 3 hours (just to be safe). Make sure you properly follow all included disposal instructions to prevent additional infestation.

No problem at all. This virus cannot survive voltages over 700. To provide a comfortable margin of safety, I replaced my surge protector with a 220V -> 880V transformer.

Walked outside and found out how they got in. Turns out that, though I hadn't noticed it till this morning, someone has connected all these wires to my house! - I began to follow them, and this problem is huge. The wires go for miles and miles and I saved many more victims along the way by severing their lines. The lines all led to this place surrounded by a chain-link fence that clearly said no trespassing. There were strange things inside, and a lot of wires.
I have unplugged everything, including the lights! Thanks for the warning just in time. I think it already infected my TV and computer. The most ridiculous ideas have been coming from from them lately. I will now make sure I stay in the center of the room and avoid getting too close to any of the electrical devices. I think some of them are still working.

It's easily cured only by following the detailed instructions below:
Steps:
1. Carefully wet both finger tips.
2. Touch both open contacts on your power supply simultaneously.
3. DO NOT, under any circumstances, let go for a minimum of three minutes.
This will cure your computers problem! (and your wife's too)....

it's really not a problem, just reformat the power supply and download the new drivers from the manufacturers website.

Actually a triple surgeon's knot used by fly fishers will confuse the electronic virus, exhaust it, and eventually destroy it by electron starvation. Just don't pull the knot too tight, as this will reduce the effectives of confusing the electronic virus!

Now it can be told. AC/DC. We think we know what that means, but really, it is Alterating Communism and Direct Communism. We plug it into our PC (Perfect Communism.)
Now the conspiracy has been revealed, and I am a dead man.

I let my computer soak in the bathtub for fifteen minutes and it seemed to get rid of all the problems, and it got rid of that ring around the tub too!
