Did you see Mommie Dearest on the witness stand, ~Kimmie~?
When the DA was questioning BVD, (don't you love those initials, LOL), anyhow, BVD was choking back the tears, sniffle, sniffle...sob, sob...
WELL, then Feldman starts talking to her and she gets this snotty look on her face, and an immediate change of attitude. If looks could kill! No more tears...they just "poof"...disappeared!
So, she puts on a good show, Kim. WE are all looking forward to the trial...giggle, giggle.

Oh spectre think about it..feldman is the enemy whether he's the enemy cuz bvd is guilty or not. It's not hard to understand her negative attitude changing quickly. He represents the man that has blood and danielle's handprint in his mh. Just for a second, forget about the bs stuff about the vd's..(yeah, the initials are something else alright) and think how would you react to the enemy? Do you think you would not feel anger towards him? Or detest him?

Some more thoughts on why PR is an appropriate action to take.
Coordination of search efforts between various volunteer organizations, equipment to beg, borrow or hire, space to rent, transportation to arrange, food to prepare, etc. Yes the Laura Recovery Center and NAMEC are involved, but they like to have local, on the ground cooridination because that local person knows local people who know local people who have the necessary equipment/manpower/space close at hand. Hopefully, they talk them into donation or heavily discounting most of it. They must also see that it is returned/cleaned up/put back in order, whatever.
Some one to coordinate donations of materials/equipment/time/space. To do the charitable donation paperwork, etc.
Coordination of printing and distributing of flyers, Website maintenance, phone bank volunteer co-ordination.
There is a damn lot to do, and it needs oversight, and PR firms have what it takes to handle it. It is entirely logical and smart to hire one. It was not the police who found Danielle, but the co-ordinated efforts of hundreds of people.
It was PR that kept that search going, not LEO, remember they were prepared to go to trial without a body. Which, BTW, says something about their belief in the strength of their evidence against the poor framed genius Mr. Westerfield.

Kim, the PR firm will find your kid faster through publicity, than a PI knocking on doors. But you are right, they don't look hard enough for teens. Better get both. Backups to the backups, is what I would do.

You have a point, but not so fast.
Feldman is only doing the job he's paid to do, be a good defense attorney...scratch that, one of the BEST defense attorney's.
I mean, if BVD were sincere why would she have anything to fear? And then there's DAMON! He had to put his hand over his face when Feldman was questioning him, and acted like he was going to come unglued, and not from grief. It was more like "GET off MY back, Feldman"...LOL!
Naahhhh, they are plenty worried, and considering their history, they should be.

OTOH, Brenda and Damon see an opportunity to cash in on the fame and fortune that Klass and Walsh have enjoyed from their misfortunes. The PR firm is helping them with that goal, IMHO.

he may be good, but he's taken on the burden of the defendant and in essence has become the defendant. I'd want to jump over the stand and choke them both. Do you remember bob berdella? Infamous homosexual cannibal of KC? One of the fathers DID jump over the little wall separating the audience from the defendant..he was going to kick his fat arse...

Hey Kimmie, I have a black and white (she's older), a grey and white one and a black one. The last two were baptised by my cousin's daughter aged 5. Baptizing cats does not appear to have a positive effect on the creatures though. Or could be that they are only a year old.

Here's an article about
Bob berdellaKansas City, Missouri is a typical midwestern city in the sense that the people are friendly and trustworthy. Neighborhoods are quiet and neighbors enjoy spending time getting to know one another.
Easter time 1988 in the city's East Side was no exception until Chris Bryson jumped out the window of a yellow and brown house located at 4315 Charlotte Street that Saturday morning. A house belonging to Robert Andrew Berdella Jr., owner of Bob's Bazaar Bizarre in Olde Westport.
Bryson was naked, wearing only a dog collar, when he knocked on the front door of one of Berdella's neighbors, seeking refuge from Berdella.
For some Kansas City Police Department detectives there would be no Easter weekend spent with family members. It would prove to be a long tedious weekend unraveling Kansas City's most heinous serial killer case.

LOL That's funny! Yeah, that can cause a loss of skin cells indeed.

It's the left ring finger and left middle finger NOT a handprint.

Well, now, give me a break, Kim. You compare Apples to oranges.
At any rate, IF I needed a good Defense lawyer, it would be Feldman. It's their job to Defend people, why do you fault them for that? You think they should only defend people they KNOW are innocent? Not the way it works.

The burden is on the prosecution, hence the leaks. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

The PR was on board from the beginning, not as an afterthought to cashing in. No doubt, they are now assisting in negotiations, communications and spin now that the search is over and the trial scheduled. But they were first brought in to handle the search logistics and publicity.
You are so stuck in your anti Van Dam mire, that you see everything they do or have done through venal colored glasses and attribute it to their moral failings.
But in fact, some of what they have done is correct and logical, even if still self serving. Using a PR firm is in no way indicative of guilt, moral laxity or greed.

No, what I was trying to point out that parents of the victim feel anger towards the defendent and his atty. You can interpret that as you wish. It's not apples an oranges as far as the characters go. Parents of murdered children, trial, defendant are all in the same position..anger et al. The difference is the facts of the case..which would be comparing apples and oranges. BTW, remember when testimony said body parts were missing? I wonder if they've looked at it from a different angle...is there PROOF that animals ate the missing parts?

Because of his contacts in his business and years spent in Kansas City, Berdella had a lot of acquaintances, some of which were friends. But to all who knew him, it was difficult to believe such a monster lived within him. Some friends accused the police of framing Berdella. Actually, no one in Kansas City wanted to believe a human being was capable of this behavior whether it was Berdella or not -- it shattered the entire image of a wholesome Midwestern town.
This hasn't been a wholesome midwestern town in years..

EEWW!! Kim. How horrible. One foot was never found. I have hard time believing that DW found a hiding spot so secure that it wouldn't turn up. I doubt he's a fetishist.
And yeah they can tell tear and gnaw marks from cuts and slashes.
Speaking of food, my hobbitses want second breakfast and it's only an hour from elevensies and two till lunch and I haven't even decided what to serve them for tea this afternoon, and there is supper and dinner to plan. Guess I better get cracking in the kitchen. sigh...
