I'm still waiting for Freepers from states North of the Mason Dixon and East of the Mississippi to post the list of free charter flights that will run non-stop until their populations are boosted by 10% to 20% with Illegals.

Let's see their indifference and self-congratulation then.

No one knows the proportion of illegals here in Maryland (they don't exactly advertise their status, you know), but there are enough that they have the political power to demand, and get, protection by the state and local governments from the INS. For example, in our education classes, we were warned that many of the "English as a Second Language" students in the public school classrooms for which we were being trained would be the children of illegals. We were also told, in no uncertain terms, that we were not going to be permitted to report them to the INS or FBI (as if that would do any good, anyway), or expell them from class, but would instead have to alter our curiculum and presentation to accomodate them.

This is one reason I am not teaching in the public schools.
