Click on the group shot pic above and look at the tee-shirts Angelwood and Takoma are wearing - Registered did us real good with his design. BTW - I got two lumps of coal - I was better than you this year.

As background: Sauropod brought the Culpeper Minutemen flag to the FR counter-rally in NYC on the 2nd of February. Later at the post FReep dinner the decision was made to sign the flag with our FR handles and/or names. We will have the flag on the 20th of April and then send it out to our fellow FReepers who are holding the line against the anti-American crowd - coast to coast. It is a "personal" way of saying I was out there and I belong to a very large body of patriots nationwide. Kind of brings us together even though we cannot all be in the same place at the same time. Eagles Up!

Hey Dave. Thanks for posting the thread and the pix. Kristinn and I stopped back at the Pentagon after the meeting so I could set out the fresh flowers, and we cleaned up the dead stuff and some cigarette butts, etc. I have a few pictures (taken after dark). I'll upload them to my computer and send them to you via email; but it'll have to wait until my ni-mh batteries recharge. (Either the rapid charger I bought is really lousy or the batteries are lousy. The batteries only lasted for a few shots before dying.)

While I was cutting the flowers, a couple of Indian ladies asked if they could help, and they did some cutting and arranging and then they thanked me for allowing them to help. And I thanked them for helping. :-)

At the same time another lady came up and we talked for a couple of minutes. She is an EMT and her daughter is a NYPD officer and EMT in Manhattan, and her husband works on Wall Street. She said the dust-covered shoes he wore to work on 9-11 are still sitting on their front porch. He won't go near them... she said he's absolutely traumatized by what he saw and experienced that day. She told me he came into the city through the station at the WTC - nine minutes before the first plane hit. She was a very nice lady; I hope she stops by FR when she gets back home to NY.
