Beautiful thread. Salute to all my brothers here (and , of course, our own sweet Snow Bunny). My youngest 2 sons keep asking me why I won't go see this movie. They can't understand why I want to wait for it to be available for rent. The truth is, I am just afraid of my reactions in public. The 'whop, whop, whop' of the choppers refered to before sends chills up my spine to this day. I am happy a film like this has finally been made (properly portraying the true spirit of our men) but, I'm sorry to say, I don't think I can ever forget or forgive the homecoming we got. It hurts to this day. I'm sure many of you know what I'm saying.
Oct '67 - Oct '68 Tough times I treasure. But not as much as I treasure all the Brothers I shared the experience with. That's something noone else, but us, will ever really grasp. Take care.
