The European Union reaffirmed that Arafat remained a legitimate authority and its interlocutor for peace, while French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine criticised Israel's "attempt to stifle Arafat".

Okay; show of hands...anyone give a rat's @ss what Europe thinks on anything? Anyone at all?

Would this be the same French who refused to assist the US with it's trial against the 20th hijacker?

The same EU who refuses to recognize or freeze the financial assets of known terrorist organizations within it's member countries borders?

The same EU who not one member nation showed up to an anti-drug trafficing meeting sponsored by the US in regards to drug sales being used to supply terrorists?

You got that right. And I think it's hilarious. Can you imagine being Arafat now, hoping the EU will DO SOMETHING to save you?

HA!
