While I was on the road yesterday, I managed to tune into Ollie North's radio show, "Common Sense Radio". He had three questions for his listeners about the response Israel should take in dealing with Arafart:

1. Arrest him and put him on trial.

2. Launch a massive attack on the Palestinians.

3. Turn the other cheek.

Most (about 98%) of the callers went with option #2. They said that the Israeli's have as much right to retaliate with force as the US did after 9/11.

I have to tell you...I agree with Option 2, but it also scares the bejeezus out of me. But I don't think that there is any other option; I certainly don't see Israel turning the other cheek (would we?) or even if they did get Arafat, would that stop the violence?

I think this is rising to a new level that we younguns (me) haven't seen the likes of..and I did NOT like the picture in the paper I saw today of King Abdullah kissing the Iraqi diplomat (?) at the summit yesterday. Not at all.

I just saw old footage from a few months ago, of Abdullah warmly kissing Arafat. Very creepy.
