Dr. Dobson Praised for Telling Californians:
Get Your Kids Out Of Public Schools
March 28, 2002, Fresno, Calif. -- In a statement to supporters, Marshall Fritz, President of the Alliance for the Separation of School & State, said: "For years, James Dobson has supported three options for Christians: Public schools, Christian schools, and home schooling. With today's courageous and insightful statement, Dr. Dobson joins the millions of Americans who have concluded that many public schools are no place to train new generations of Americans."
Dr. James Dobson, President of Focus on the Family, stated on his daily radio broadcast on March 28: "In the state of California, if I had a child there, I wouldn't put the youngster in a public school.... I think it's time to get our kids out. And I'm going to get hit for [saying] that." Dr. Dobson's full remarks can be heard at Family.org web site.
Dr. Dobson's broadcast is heard by 200 million people daily in over 100 countries, and his comments on the state of public schooling may mark a key turning point in the critical education discussion. Many other Christian leaders have expressed concern that public schools are too dangerous for Christians, notably Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries; T.C. Pinckney, recently elected Second Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention; and Dr. Tim LaHaye, author of the popular Left Behind series of novels.
General Pinckney's address to Baptist leaders, titled "We Are Losing Our Children," is considered by Fritz to be one of the clearest expositions of the difficulty of Christians in today's American public schools. The transcript is available at SepSchool.org. Rev. E. Ray Moore, founder of ExodusMandate.org, also supports Dr. Dobson by saying, "Indeed, it's time to leave behind Pharaoh's schools and go to the promised land of Christian schools and home schooling." Fritz notes that approximately 15,000 have gone so far as to sign a Public Proclamation for the Separation of School and State that calls for the end of government involvement in education.
Scores of religious leaders, including Kennedy, Pinckney, and LaHaye, have endorsed this concept. See their names at:
Fritz urged his supporters to send their support to Dr. Dobson: "You could hear him wince; he knew some will not like his message. Let's show him that he has supporters, too."

The Alliance has no political or religious connections, although many individual supporters of course do have such connections. We are an Alliance of all who wish to liberate K-12 schools from local, state, and federal involvement.

Those are the biggies, but don't forget:
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
As a substitute teacher, I see all the Left-Wing, Secular Humanist, Revisionism that is used as Propaganda.
Things such as villifying the original founders of America, claiming that we killed the Indians, villifying our heros. Junk Science, Global Warming, Evolution, etc. are presented as fact. Multiculturalism is huge, and it attempts to tell America's children that the U.S. has no common culture. "Character Assemblies" present Secular Humanist viewpoints in which the children are singing, "You can't tell me what to do.......What is right is what's in my head", etc.
A good percentage of the teachers are lousy, lacking education, have no drive, or are Left-Wingers themselves. Many of them do not see the ardent Propaganda. It's so obvious, yet so many are blind to it.
Don't get me wrong. I do let the children do the assignment, mainly because the teacher has requested it. However, when we're going over it, I will use logic, facts, and truth to tell the children why the textbook is lying. I'll say, "However, for this assignment, you're going to have to write this down".
Sometimes, if the students have free-time, I'll do my own thing. For example, I'll go over American symbols such as the flag, the Bald Eagle, etc., and what they represent. Furthermore, I'll talk about American history. Other times I'll talk about America's history under God. I'll usually envelop this around the coinage, "In God We Trust".
Other times, I'll go on to math and start teaching long-division (something we learned in third grade), despite the fact that many fourth graders haven't yet begun to learn it. I'll give them many multiplication and division problems, etc.
I really care for the kids, and it makes me sick to my stomach what the school boards, teachers, etc. are doing to them.
Yep. Period.
I actually attended a church where the pastor admonished the congregaton to send their children to public schools as "truth and light". He, of course, was very absorded in his own kids participation in P. school athletics. Garbage. One doesn't expose their kids to the trash in public schools and at the same time expect them to be moral sentries.
33 kids in class, yet ALL are good readers, all are passing math.
They study all the same core subjects as the government schools, PLUS religous education.
It's a great investment. (I just wish I could get my tax dollars back)
