I am unaware of their continued existence, but I have also never read that they ever went out of existence. Do we know that they ceased to exist, and when that happened?

To give a reponse to an article without benefit of any backgound save that of the knee-jerk is all too common when the topic threatens the internationmal cabal that does exist - by any name that you care to call them.
The name remained in use, as a scapegoat, for lunatic conspiracy nut jobs, and fiction writers, to this day. The ONLY place the Illuminati still exist, is in books by Robert Anton Wilson and other FICTION authors, on crazy web sites , and in the minds of delusional whack jobs.

Although not definative proof of anything is sure makes alot of good points, IF one knows anything about the Bible.
But then there are those who only have a worldly view of life, those who scoff at your beliefs, but I won't mention them.

But I will say that belief in such a conspiracy is at least reasonable. Obviously I believe that, since I happen to be one of those persuaded by the evidence that there was in fact such a conspiracy. You said the conspiracy theories about Pearl Harbor are "idiotic" and "disproven." I think those words are altogether unwarranted.

You also forget the (formerly) secret pact revealed between Churchill and FDR committing the US to get involved in the War. FDR tried to get involved thru the Atlantic theatre, but when the Germans wouldn't take the bait, he had no choice but to involve Japan, signed on as a Tripartite member of the German-Italy-Japan treaty.
FDR's Secretary of State (Hull, I believe) stated that "we must maneuver them (Japan) into making the first shot"...
Ever hear of the French Revolution, in 1789? The Illuminati had penetrated the Masonic lodges, and Masonry was the leading force behind that whole plot.
I've personally visited the Masonic museum in Paris, and I can tell you for fact that it was their revolution, all the leaders were Masons, and they proudly display the role they played in making that happen.
The Masons true Lord is Lucifer. Read "Morals and Dogma" by Albert Pike. They worship the "Lightbearer" (as in "Illuminated One" hence they are Illuminati, or "lightbearers" themselves) and they maintain that the road to salvation is wide and that all paths lead there. Jesus said that nobody get to Heaven but through Him and His father, and that the road was narrow indeed.
The Illuminati's basic beliefs are: an end to nations; and end to family; and end to the church; and end to private property; and the creation of a new world order based on their luciferian beliefs - All power in the hands of the State and them in control of the state.
We see their results in the 20th century: communism, naziism, socialism , and now private/public partnerships, as championed by the UN, which is just another fancy word for fascism.

Which is exactly why they are called "theories" - because 100 percent conclusive evidence cant be found, often because of the fact that, yes indeed, a conspiracy (meaning a secret plotting by two or more people to further some goal) took place and part of any conspiracy is of course to keep it hidden and any traces of who may have done it and why are obliterated.
We don't always know the who, or the why or the how, but if you read enough history that is unchallenged (meaning its approved by the authorities who have an interest in having a certain version of events represented) and piece together enough clues, you can indeed "draw the lines to connect the dots" and make some conclusions.
So here are some conclusions that I've drawn thru my many years of reading and observing the world and wanting to trult know what is happening and having no other agenda.
1. Government is getting bigger and more intrusive every year, despite all attempts to stop it.
2. Government is becoming more global and all countries are being merged into the system, and that applies to economies, trade, culture, religions, etc.
3. As all things are becoming more global, power is being more and more removed from the individual and small communities, and transferred to those in control of big capital and the markets.
4. This is all being done under an illusion of world democracy, with the UN guaranteeing rights to all peoples!
5. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Human nature is unchangeable and our leaders are more arrogant than ever.
There is just too much power and power-crazed individuals out there. No one man can rule the world. But everyone wants to join the club and be a member of that club and be on the inside, so they all work for it. These ideas weren't dreamed up yesterday, they are the result of hundreds and even thousands of years quests by occult secret societies, no matter how silly you think they are.
Its deadly serious to them, and they play for keeps.
